Review: Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette Review

Too Facede Sugar Cookie (2)

Hello there, today is all about the Too Faced Sugar Cookie Eyeshadow Palette, which is part of the holiday collection this year, and I am very much excited to use it and review it. I am a bit behind on my regular schedule but that is due to something going on with my wrist, which at the time of writing this I still have no idea what it is, so I will probably talk about that later. For now let’s dive into talking about this cute little palette.

Revisit: Tarte Swamp Queen Palette

Revisit_ Tarte Swamp Queen Palette

Hello there, today I will be going way back and revisiting a palette that I haven’t hear anyone talk about in at least a year and that is the Tarte Swamp Queen Palette. My original post is no longer on the blog, mostly because I didn’t deem it needed on one of the many times I have cleaned up my content, but I do have a look done with it that you can find here.  Last month I talked about the Take Me Back To Brazil Palette, so check that out before we dive into this months revisit.

Dose of colors eyescream

I know this palette isn’t new and that is has been out for a while, which means that I have been eyeing it for a while because it just looks so pretty. I pulled the trigger on it recently and I’m actually pretty glad that I did, I quite like this palette as you will probably be able to tell in this review, so let’s just not waste any more time and start talking about this one.

Review: The Body Shop Contour Palette

sunday market.png

I am super excited to be reviewing this today, this is the first contour palette that I’ve actually really enjoyed and I am excited to review it today. I feel like I don’t hear enough about The Body Shop’s line of makeup but then again, I’m not really well versed in it myself either. Let’s just get into this review.

Bad Habit Sahara Palette Review

Bad Habit

Today is all about this beautiful palette from the brand Bad Habit, which is a brand that you can purchase on the site/app shop hush. This palette just really fits in with that whole summertime/road trip theme that my posts have had as of recently, so that’s a little bit why I picked now to review this one. Anyway, let’s get into talking the Sahara palette.

Review: Anastasia Blush Kit in Radiant

“Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

I had something completely different planned for today but with all of the terrible cold and rainy weather we have had as of recently, I just didn’t get time to photograph it like I had intended to. So instead I have decided to come at you with a review of a product that I have been sitting on for a little while now, like most things. I will be talking about the Anastasi Beverley Hills Blush Kit in Radiant, so let’s see how this holds up.

Review: Bad Habit Aphrodite Palette

Bad Habit

I’m realizing that pretty much all of my picks this month are based around the fact that it is February and the fact that Valentine’s Day is in this month, which I am not bothered by as I think it’s kind of fun and it’s really knocking things of my list of posts I need to blog about, which is always a plus in my mind. Anyway, today we will be talking about the Bad Habit Aphrodite Palette which is a dupe for the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette, which I do not own but have been drooling over since I first laid eyes on it. A tiny part of me still wants to pick it up for comparison purposes but I probably won’t because expensive. Anyway, let’s focus on this little palette today instead.

Nars Narssist Palette Review

Narssist Palette Review1

I’ve had this on my list for far too long, if you’ve been here a while you may recall me hauling this during one of my many 21 days of beauty hauls, but I am just now getting around to talking about it. At least it’s safe to say that I do have a well-formed opinion about this product and all of the cheek products, so let’s just hop right on in and see what I’m thinking about this one.

Review: NYX Go To Palette in Bon Voyage

NYX Go To Palette

It is time for the final all in one palette review, if you missed last weeks you can find it here, but anyway, I think this weeks review might be the only palette one might call all in one. This is the NYX Go-To Palette in Bon Voyage. Let’s just jump right on into this review!

20170805_141505This palette retails for $16.99, this is the lowest price of all the palettes I’ve reviewed. This comes with six eyeshadows, a highlighter, blush, and bronzer, basically, everything that you need for a full face look. The great thing about all of these products being in one package is that they all go really well together, as you would probably assume. This has a total weight of 0.54 oz, which isn’t too bad if you ask me.

I find this one to be much more of an evening or dramatic palette, although the look I created and will be sharing down below was a lot softer and more office appropriate, so this palette may look very dramatic but it’s pretty versatile too, which I really like, especially on a trip somewhere.

All of the shadows in the pan appear to have a shimmer to them, and almost all of them do, the only one that I find doesn’t really have any shimmer to it is the light brown shade, it looks like it would be a little bit shimmery but it’s not, it swatched and applies more matte than anything. The highlighter has a shimmer to it, of course, but the blush and the bronzer are completely matte, which I really appreciate.

Now, to talk a little bit about formula. I enjoy this formula, it has the tiniest bit of kickback to it but barely, but it’s also not hard either, it’s a nice texture. If I were complaining I would like it to be just a tad softer, but I’m perfectly alright with it as it is.

I found these to be pretty pigmented, as you might be able to see now, and I also found these super easy to work with and very easy to blend. I think this palette works really well together in terms of shades, although I could see myself pulling in a couple of other shades from time to time that I think would work well in here. Mostly a really pretty champagne kind of lid shade.

These shadow shades are stunning, the purple and green are really stunning jewel-toned shades that are just so pretty. The next is a really soft and warm brown matte shade that I think is perfect for the crease, then a really light cream shade with the slightest bit of shimmer to it, which I personally think looks really nice all over the lid. The next is this really pretty purple-brown shimmer shade, I don’t really know how to describe it exactly but I do know that I find it very pretty and interesting. Lastly is a black with the slightest bit of shimmer in it, I am personally not that favorable of black eyeshadows but I also think it makes a lot of sense in this palette. I enjoy the highlighter, it’s really pretty subtle but it is there, the blush is gorgeous, it’s the perfect matte peach blush and I love it, though I think it seems a tiny bit random with this palette and the bronzer is not a shade for me, but it’s very pigmented and should be used with a light hand I think.

This is the look that I came up with, I’m actually very happy with how it turned out, the eyeshadow looks really nice and great for the daytime, the highlighter is there but it’s not in your face either, and I really just love this blush.

Overall, it’s a look that I’m very happy with and I’m excited to play with this palette some more. I like this palette and am now eyeing the other shade of this one a little bit.
