2019

Hello 2019!

2019

Hello there new year, we are back to regularly scheduled programming which leaves me with a couple extra days after the chaos that is Blogmas, that’s alright though because I have fun with this and have a couple less labor-intensive posts to share. Today is all about welcoming in the new year, something about the new year always feels like a blank slate and I’m sure it’s because we all agree that it’s the start of something new and fresh. I am hoping for 2019 to be a big year for me and have too many goals that I probably won’t achieve, so let’s dive right on into it.

Why September 2018 Was Awesome + Goals

Follow Me Around_ 25th Birthday (4)

September is over and I’m kind of sad, I feel like the only person who likes September and I completely blame it on the fact that I am a selfish person who loves their birthday. I like October fine but I’m not super excited about it yet. Anyway, this post is all about wrapping up September and setting some new goals for the month of October.

Why July 2018 Was Awesome + Goals

July is over and now we welcome August, honestly I have mixed feelings about this because I am still a child at heart I am excited that we are getting closer to my birthday but I am not excited about getting closer to cold weather. I guess it’s going to happen whether I like it or not. Last month I set some goals, so let’s see how I did with those.

Why February 2018 Was Awesome + Goals

Why February 2018 Was Awesome

This year hasn’t started feeling like last year yet, meaning this year hasn’t felt like it’s started flying by yet and I’m curious when I will start feeling that. January drug on for no less than three months, I am sure, but February wasn’t much better. But let’s just get into wrapping up the second month of the year.

Why September 2017 Was Awesome + Goals

September 2017

It’s the start of a new month which means it’s time to talk about the last month, which means multiple posts wrapping up the previous month, this time we start with my overall wrap-up of the month of September and my goals for the month of October. I can’t believe it’s already October again, this year seems to be flying by, the month of September was gone so quickly, it was like a blink of an eye.

September wasn’t a particularly exciting month but it was a pretty busy month, which I think is some of the reason why it seemed to have gone by super quickly. The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head that was somewhat exciting this month was that I turned 24 during the month of September, which you can read all about here, that way I don’t bore anyone who has already read all about my birthday. I had a really great day.

Another thing that is somewhat exciting is I got my wedding dress back, it’s all altered and fits perfectly, I’m super happy that I decided to let it out a little bit instead of trying to fit in it, which I’m sure I could have, but now it fits pretty comfortably and I’m not itching to take it off. So, even if I actually do lose some weight, I will fit in it if I don’t as well which is nice. I did sit in it for the first time and I really can’t bend and there is so much fluff around me, but still, I’m happy with it and very excited to wear it shortly.

I’ve been working a lot this month, working a lot on my blog, cleaning and just the usual things really, there isn’t a whole lot of exciting things going on. As I’ve said probably way too many times, I’m pretty boring but I still like to keep up with things here in case there ever is something exciting for me to list.

Now, to talk a little bit about my goals from last month and how they went, let’s start with Driving, which is something I failed at yet again. I do not know what is wrong with me but I just don’t ever drive, I really need to push myself to drive more often but September wasn’t a good month for that apparently. Getting Ahead With My Reading Challenge, I’m so disappointed in myself, I was ahead for most of this month but as of right now I am on track, which is better than being behind but I was hoping to get ahead. Social Media, is something I think I’m endless going to be working on better myself at, but I think I’m doing alright with this one. Losing Weight I was doing so good, I had lost four pounds since the middle of August, as of the middle of September, but I fell off a bit and I’ve gained a little bit of the weight back so I have lost some but I’m not where I wanted to be. It’s just nice to have finally seen some change on the scale. Decluttering, I have done a really good job at this, I went through all of my makeup and now I’m working on going through it once more, a little more in depth this time.

Drive More. This one is returning because it is something that I really need to do and it’s going to be here until I actually start doing it, here’s to hoping October is the month of driving for me.

Read Five Books This Month. I want to challenge myself a little bit, though I did just get a bunch of graphic novels for my birthday so I’m not sure how much of a challenge it will really be, I want to read five books, which should put me ahead one book at the end of October.

Lose Five Pounds. This goal is back, it’s not the end of the world if I don’t and I’m not super focused on it, but I would love to lose five pounds this month.

Get Back To Working Out. I have fallen off the wagon a little bit during September, so it’s time to refocus and get back to working out six days a week, I know I have it in me, I just have to get back to it.

Continue Decluttering. I want to continue on with the decluttering and have a really in-depth look at my wardrobe this month, it might take some time but I’ve got all of October to finish it which I think will be plenty of time.

No Buy. I already know that I’m going to fail this, but then again maybe I won’t, I probably will but either way I’m going to attempt a no buy for the month and at the very least I’m hopefully going to fall into the category of a low buy.

Relax. I want to make sure to make time for myself to relax, so I’m hoping to do this once a week and hoping that it will help me out in the long run, because sometimes I just really feel overwhelmed and need to remind myself it’s okay to slow down.

And those are all of my goals for October, I think I did alright with my September ones and I think I’m going to crush the October ones, I can just feel it already. Here’s to a fabulous October!

How did September treat you guys?

Why July 2017 Was Awesome + Goals

Why July 2017Was Awesome

It’s August and I’m excited but also not excited, August is probably the month that I like the least, summer is coming to an end, there’s nothing fun going on during the month usually and it’s the month before my birthday so I’m just not typically into the month of August. I hope this one is great and fantastic, I’m trying to go into it with optimism and I do have some fun things planned this month, but we’ll see. This post isn’t about August though, it’s about July, today I will be recapping the month of July and setting some goals for August.

July went by really quickly but at the same time it kind of felt like it went on forever if that makes any sense at all, but that’s what it felt like to me. I have been a busy bee this month, between work, working out and blogging, it’s just felt like a lot. I think everything is starting to catch up with me some, I’ve even taken a Saturday off this month and still feel like I’m so behind on so many things. I hope this overwhelmed feeling goes away soon because it is annoying and not I guess I’ll have to learn to live with it or manage my time a little bit better.

Not a whole lot has gone on during the month of July in my personal life, I haven’t really done anything particularly exciting recently like I’m trying to think of something to update you guys one and not much really comes to mind. We have spoken with a florist for the wedding, we have an idea of what we want but we have to do a little homework and then go back to her to really nail things down. This has probably been my least favorite thing we’re doing but it’s got to be done. I saw Spiderman this month as well, I enjoyed it but that’s nothing overly exciting. Overall, I think July was a busy month, boring but busy.

Adding goals to these posts are something that I started doing last month, it’s something I’m still testing out but it’s something that I’m liking so far and want to keep doing, so I will. First I want to talk about last months goals. No Buy. I failed at this, I don’t think I did too bad, I scaled back my spending a lot but I for sure broke this. At least I did better than I usually do. Eating Better I think I said this last month but this is really a never-ending thing I think, but I still think I did alright and have been improving and I’m pretty happy with that. Continuing To Beat My Monthly Views I did complete this and I really want to continue to do this, I just always want to grow my blog, but we’ll see how long I can keep that up for. Now to talk a little about what I’m hoping to accomplish in the month of August.

No Buy. I’m wanting to attempt this, I want to not purchase anything makeup related for the entire month of August, I would say until my birthday in the middle of September but I know the Ulta 21 Days of beauty is coming and I have no self-control there. Well, I can have some but

Social Media. I really want to start really focusing more on my social media, I’m probably in need of a drastic overhaul of all of them, however, I think I’m going to start with Pinterest since it’s the most neglected of all the social media for me.

Start  Driving More. This might be random but it’s a personal thing that I really want to do. I hardly ever drive and I’m not a bad driver, I’m just not a seasoned driver so I really need to work on this.

I Want To Hit 250 Followers. This may seem like a small number to some but this is a pretty big one for me, I’m really close to 200 so making that my goal would be way too easy, which means that of course, I have to make the goal 250. It’s more realistic but it’s not a small task.

Catch Up On My Reading Challenge. I am two books behind and by the end of August I’d really like to be ahead again, or at the very least caught up.

And I think that’s everything that I’m going to set for myself in this month, more then last month but nothing that I don’t think I can handle. So here’s to hoping that August is successful.

What kind of fun things did you guys do in July?

Why June 2017 Was Awesome + Goals

Why June 2017Was Awesome

I’m sure everyone is tired of hearing this by now, but I can’t believe another month has gone by, this one disappeared in a blink of the eye, and to make it worse the year is already half way over. How in the hell did that happen? I’m not sure but I don’t really think there is much that I can do about it. I’m honestly not really surprised that this month went by so quickly, I have been busy, which I think may be clear by the fact that I am writing this the evening of June 29th and I still don’t have a July schedule for the blog ready. Usually, I have that done the first week of the previous month, but nope not yet, I’m hoping to catch up on a bunch of stuff this weekend. We’ll see how that goes.

Anyway, let’s get into talking about the busy month of June, at the beginning of the month I flew back home! Which means Orlando Florida, it was really weird being apart from my fiance seeing as we’ve spent pretty much an entire year and a half together, but it was still fun and I’m super happy I went. When I went it rained pretty much the entire week, which seemed about right but once again I still had fun. The rain did ruin some of my plans, as you could expect, I planned on going to the beach and I didn’t get to go, I also didn’t get to go outlet shopping but that wasn’t as big of a deal. I am very sad I didn’t get to go to the beach, sure there are beaches near where I live but they aren’t Florida beaches.

I did get to do some shopping, hang out with my family and some friends, ate a ton of my favorite foods that I can’t get in Virginia and had an all around a great time. Also, I went to Disney World! That was super exciting and really fun, I went with a good friend of mine and it was a great day. It did rain for a little bit but we timed it perfectly and had lunch when it was raining. We rode some rides, saw a few shows and of course I picked up a bag of cotton candy.

Once I got home I’m not sure what happened, but I was super busy at work and just have barely had time to catch up on blog things, I’ve kept up with everything else that I’m doing pretty well and while I’ve kept up with all the posts on here, I’ve been writing the day before for a little while. I’m hoping everything calms down a little bit and I can get some of my stuff together, but we’ll see.

Now, I’m going to talk about something that I don’t usually do in this post but am thinking about doing from now on, that is talking about my goals for the upcoming month. This seemed like a good idea and something that I wanted to try out, some months I may have a bunch of goals and others I may have only one but I plan on doing this at the bottom of each months post. So now let’s talk about some goals I have for the month of July.

No Buy. This is something that I plan on setting for myself and hopefully, I’ll be able to do it. I’ve got too much stuff and have purchased a ton this month, so for July I’m going to try not to purchase anything, with the exception of one sale I am going to. Already breaking my no buy, but does it really count if I say it beforehand as an exception?

Eating Better. This is still something that I am struggling with and I really want to complete this, even though I’m not sure there is really completing this. I’m hopefully going to focus in on this one.

I want to continue beating my previous months views. I think this one is pretty straightforward, every month this year my blog has grown and each month I get more views then the last one. I plan on going back to posting four times a week instead of five, mostly because five was very difficult, sure I have tons of ideas but keeping up with things was hard so I think four days a week will be plenty. I’m hoping to keep up with my views growing, I’m a little nervous with less posts next month but we’ll see.

Was June an awesome month for you?
