August 2017 Nail Wrap Up

Add heading

It’s time for another nail wrap up, this month will probably be shorter than last, last month I did pretty well, I got a lot of polish on my fingers and was barely ever without polish. This month, however, I did not do so good, I had a little bit of fun and did some things but nothing too exciting, a really fun mani and a couple others, but nothing grand this month.

20170806_081211

China Glaze in Let’s Jam – Slowly working my way through this China Glaze collection from last year, at least the ones that I’ve picked up at least. This one is a really pretty purple shade that has the faintest blue sparkle to it, which doesn’t really show up in pictures, or I couldn’t get it to at the very least. I quite enjoyed wearing this one and would for sure be happy to wear it again.

20170812_123150

China Glaze in Bite Me – This is pretty much the one from the collection that started this whole thing, I saw this one and I was drooling over it, however, of course, it took the longest to get here so that meant I couldn’t put it on my nails first. I adored this shade and can’t wait to wear it again, it’s just so pretty. It has a really faint shimmer to it that is stunning, overall I just really liked this one and would recommend this one.

20170818_164252

Green: China Glaze in Lime After Lime. Blue: OPI in I Believe In Manicures. Purple: Zoya in Isa – This is a more complicated thing, this is fun and I’m really glad that I did this because, for the most part, I think that these all look really good and this wore fantastically. I am just really happy to have had a successful water marble attempt.

And I think that’s everything, I didn’t really do a whole lot with my nails this past month, but once again I am going to try and have some fun with it and play with my nails some more this month, we’ll have to wait and see how it goes though.

August 2017 Empties

August Empties

Yes, it’s time for another monthly post about the month of August, today it’s all about my trash, aka the products that I used up in the month of August. I didn’t use up as much as last month but there is still a fair amount, I think that may have something to do with the fact that I have and use so many mini sized products. So, let’s start talking trash.

PSX_20170826_170840

Smashmallow Mint Chocolate Chip – I cannot say enough good things about these marshmallows, we’re doing a candy bar of sorts at our wedding and I talked my fiance into trying some of these after I bought a bag while I was in Florida. These are so good and a great little sweet snack if you need one, which sometimes I do, these ones are very minty and just a little bit chocolatey. Repurchase: Yes, but only if I was in the mood, the

Smashmallow Root Beer Float – These are the ones that started my love with this brand, probably not this bag exactly but this flavor. This is hands down my favorite of the flavors we have tried, which is four out of the seven I believe they sell. I love root beer and I love how much this tastes like it, without actually having to drink root beer, which I rarely drink. Repurchase: Yes, the second I run out I need another bag!

Lorac Behind The Scenes Primer – I have a bunch of these mini ones and this one has taken me forever to use up, I keep getting them with a palette, they are not my favorite primer ever but they aren’t half bad either. Repurchase: Probably not, they aren’t my favorite and they aren’t really cheap either.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer  – I am so excited to be finished with this product, it’s not bad but it’s just not the primer for me, I find that my makeup slips around after a while with this, which I understand happens after some wear but nothing like this. Repurchase: No, I do not like it.

Elf Makeup Remover Pen – This is a really fantastic idea and a fantastic product, it’s just a felt pen that is covered in makeup remover, so when you make a mistake with your winged eyeliner or something of the sort, this is the perfect thing to touch it up without completely ruining it. Repurchase: Probably, it doesn’t last quite as long as I would like but it was good.

Wet ‘N Wild Mega Cushion Highlight in Who’s That Pearl – This is something that I am decluttering because I just don’t like it that much, it’s a little bit hard to work with and it doesn’t really end up looking that great, so I’m not the biggest fan of it. I just had to have it and now I’m decluttering it, but at least it’s a more affordable product. Repurchase: Nope, I didn’t really like it.

Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub – This I can’t link to as it’s limited edition and this is something else that I am decluttering, I love Lush lip scrubs, they are very affordable and do a great job, however the taste of this one is bad enough for me to want to toss it out. This tastes salty and really strange, I do not like it. Repurchase: Nope

Dermablend Loose Setting Powder – I’m sad to see this one go, I never thought I would want a loose powder in my life, but I got this sample and have completely used it up, so it’s safe to say that I love it! The only downfall is that it’s white and powdery, so it shows up on everything, but that would happen with any loose powder I think. Repurchase: Yes, in fact, I plan on repurchasing during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty.

PSX_20170826_171456

Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Conditioner  – This is my current conditioner, I’ve been through two of these so far and I’m almost through a third, so far I really like it, I’m not sure that it’s my end all be all conditioner but it is a really good one and quite affordable too! Repurchase: I already have.

Cutex Twist + Scrub Sponge  – I bought these in sets of two, this does fine but it’s nothing special like I thought it was going to be, but it’s not bad either, it just wasn’t what I expected. Repurchase: Probably not.

Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash  – This is something else that I’ve decluttered, the smell is the reason why, if it wasn’t for the smell this would be a fantastic, gentle product for removing makeup and cleansing my face. The scent isn’t really that strong or that out there, but for me personally I hate it and had to stop using it. Repurchase: Only if they changed the scent.

Pink Sweet + Flirty Body Mist  – I adore this scent, it’s really sweet and flirty, it’s just a great mix of scent and I loved it. Repurchase: Probably, just not right now.

Unwash Bio Cleansing Conditioner  – This was a sample size and I got three uses out of it I think, which is pretty good for a sample, however, it’s not enough for me to say one way or the other really. Repurchase: Probably not, just because I didn’t get a good enough feel for it.

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant  – I have a few things that are not pictured, so from here down are things that I didn’t photograph. This deodorant was fine, it just wasn’t what I wanted. I didn’t like the smell and I don’t personally think it kept my odor at bay enough, so because of that, I’m just kind of eh on this one. Repurchase: Probably not this scent but maybe another one.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra Moisture Detangler  – This is something that I am decluttering, I’ve had it for a while and used about half of it, but I didn’t really find that it helped my hair at all so I decided to finally let this one go. Repurchase: No, it just didn’t wow me.

Tarte Frxxxtion Stick  – I used this up and it took me longer than I thought it would, but I’m completely okay with that. I had a sample of this that I love so I bought the full size, loved the full size just as much as the sample. This is a great gentle exfoliate for the face, it doesn’t really have a smell and it’s just a super easy to use the product. Repurchase: Yes, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Not Your Mothers Naturals Tahitian Gardenia Flower + Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler  –  This is something that I am happy to see go, I just didn’t like this as much as I thought I would, and while the shampoo and conditioner in this line smelled amazing, this did not. Repurchase: No, it’s not awful but not great either.

Lush Monsters Ball Bath Bomb  – This is a Halloween bath bomb from last year that I am hoping they roll out this year because I really love this one. I love the scent, it’s a really bright, candy, citrus kind of scent. I love the look of this, both out of the water and in the water, and all around I just love this bath bomb. Repurchase: 100%

Lush Pink Bath Bomb  – I tried the new one out, which I did not realize had a new scent and I’m kind of bummed about that, it’s not bad but it’s not that in your face, snow fairy type of scent, that I love in all forms except for the shower gel. This is a more grown up version of that I think, it’s toned down a lot and has a little bit more of an earthy smell to it. Repurchase: Eh, probably not.

Secret Arts Jelly Bomb – I have a lot of things to say about this one, but I’m going to save that for a review that I am going to put up next month since I forgot to put this in this months schedule. I do love the smell of this. Repurchase: Nope.

And those are all of my empties from August, quite a few but nothing like lasts month. I think this post has been longer than I anticipated it would be but I did still have a lot of stuff to go over. Anyway, here’s to another good month of using up products.

Have you guys used up anything fun this past month?

August 2017 Favorites + Face

August 2017 Favorites+ Face

I know, it’s Friday! And you might be wondering what I’m doing here, Friday isn’t one of my usual days to blog on and this isn’t a post that I would forget about seeing as I do it every month. I have put myself on a new schedule, pretty much for the same reasons as last time, I have so many ideas and so much content that I can’t get it out fast enough. However, I can not daily blog because that is something that I just couldn’t keep up with, so because of that I have settled on five days a week. I’ve done this before but I’m hoping to stick to it, I guess we’ll see how it went in the month of October, but until then you will be seeing me on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Anyway, enough of my rambling about schedules and all of those boring things, it’s the start of a new month which means that it is time for some monthly favorites and face, so let’s just jump right on into this one.

PSX_20170826_172653

Milk Makeup Blur Stick – This is just a little sample size but I love this one! I have another little sample of it and once I’m through them I’m probably really going to debate purchasing a full size. This does not work like a primer if you ask me, it doesn’t really prolong the wear of my makeup, but it does make my face look poreless and smooth, it blurs if you will. The only downfall is the smell, it smells chemical and I don’t like it, it’s not too bad though.

NYX Blotting Powder in Light  – I think you can see that this is well loved, this has been my go to powder as of recently. I don’t think this is anything outlandish or out there, but it’s a nice powder and I’m happy with it.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara – This has been my new favorite mascara, especially combined with the product below, it just makes my lashes super wow and great. This is very black, it doesn’t really clump up that much and it makes my lashes super long.

L’oreal Voluminous Primer Mascara  – I have weird feelings about this, sometimes I wonder if this is really doing things for me but other times I know that it for sure is doing something, especially when paired with the mascara above. I have tried this with one other mascara and it just clumped up my lashes majorly, so I guess this one is something that you have to play around with in terms of which products you can use it with.

psx_20170826_171941.jpg

Pixi Glow Tonic Toner  – I love this stuff way more than I ever thought I would, this is my second bottle and I’m glad I kept using it. This makes my skin feel so soft and smooth, it also gives me a little bit of a glow I think, and I love that! This combined with the two cleansers I use is just a perfect combination, so I think I’m getting closer to my perfect skincare routine.

J.Cat Beauty Dry Makeup Brush Cleaner – This is something I didn’t think I would really need, I was using a hair doughnut and I think it was working just fine, however, I ordered this because I was curious and had my eye on it for quite some time and I’m glad that I did. I think this works better than my little hair doughnut and it catches all of the shadows fall out in the container, this is a fantastic purchase and a great bargain.

Mac Trip The Light Fantastic Powder in Strange New Worlds – This is the only product I couldn’t link because it is limited edition, some people don’t like to share limited edition product on their blogs due to lack of being able to get your hands on them, but sometimes I just really like a product and need to share it. This is a really light blush on me or a really great cheek topper, but I’m very favorable of it.

Tonymoly Peach Punch Sweet Foam Cleanser – This is something that I just started using this month even though I bought it months ago, but I guess it’s better late than never. I love this stuff! It has a really faint peachy scent, I personally find it gentle enough to use around my eyes and it leaves my skin feeling so clean, plus this is really affordable so really it’s win-win.

Eyes: Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer, Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette, Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir, Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-In-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum in Ultra Black, L’oreal Voluminous Base Mascara and Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara. Face: Milk Makeup Blur Stick, Mac Strobe Cream, Dr. Jar+ Beauty Balm in Light/Medium, Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in Light Neutral, NYX Blotting Powder in Light, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Mac Trip The Light Fantastic Powder in Strange New Worlds and treStique Highlight Stick. Lips: Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Audition.

And that is the face that I chose for this month, this time around I kind of did a hybrid of creating a looking and picking a look out the represented the month. I think this month had a pretty good mix of products in it, both new and older and all things that I’m really loving.

What are some of your favorites from August?

Why August 2017 Was Awesome + Goals

Why August WasAwesome!

Another month over, I can’t believe it but I am excited to say goodbye to October and hello to September, mostly because it’s my birthday month and that really excites me. I guess this month technically isn’t over yet, but it’s close enough as it’s the last day. Anyway, let’s just get right on into talking about the month of August.

I think the most exciting thing that I can think of that happened during the month of August was that I went to get my wedding dress altered, which is both exciting and sad, but I don’t really want to talk about the sad part right now, maybe I’ll mention it in my healthy update or maybe I’ll mention it in my monthly wrap up for September. But, anyway, it’s exciting because that means it’s not six inches too long anymore and that’s a great thing, I go back the day before my birthday to make sure everything fits and looks the way I want it to, which is very exciting and I’m hoping everything is perfect, I’m sure it will be but I’m hoping for it all to be perfect still.

Something fun we did recently was we went bowling and mini golfing in this month, maybe it’s a little bit childish but I really enjoy doing both of these things. I beat my fiance at bowling, which is a rare occurrence as I am not that great of a bowler and if I’m being honest, that was a really satisfying moment.

Other than that I’m not really sure there’s been much going on in my life this past month, we did get together flowers for the wedding sorted out, I guess that’s a thing that should be featured in a post. We haven’t seen them yet but we are getting a sample arrangement put together sometime during the month of September, probably close to my birthday, which is exciting. Other than that my month has been all blogging, working and trying to focus on getting in better shape and such.

I did now have a header on the blog! In case you guys didn’t see, it’s very simple but I personally like that and am pretty happy with it. I’m also updating my images I use to pin, so that should be pretty exciting but that’s more of a next month thing than it is this month one.

Let’s talk about last months goals and how they went. Let’s start with my No Buy, that did not go as well as expected, I was doing really well until the Ulta platinum appreciation event where there were a lot of things that were 10x the points and the rest were 5x, it’s safe to say that I have some new things to play with that you guys will see later on and have a ton of points, but other than that day I broke my no buy one other time which I think was pretty good. I think something else I’ve done really well with is my Social Media, I don’t think I am quite where I want to be with it, nor as active as I might want to be but I think I’ve gotten more active and have taken a couple big steps in the right direction. Driving More this is the one that I have failed at over the past month, I haven’t driven at all, so this is something I’m still going to have to work on. 250 Followers, this might have been me biting off a more than I could chew because I did not get here this month, however, I did hit over 200 followers this past month and I’m happy about that. Thank you guys for that! And the last one is my Reading Challenge, I did not get ahead like I had really wanted to but I have caught up and I am really happy about that, I didn’t like falling behind.

Driving More. I failed miserably at this one last month so this is one that I want to bring back because this really needs to happen.

Getting Ahead With My Reading Challenge. It’s nice being caught up but I really like being ahead, just incase things get hectic later in the year as I really want to finish this reading challenge, I want to be able to say I read a book a week in 2017.

Social Media. Of course, this is back on here as well, but I do want to work on this one a little bit, I have some room for improvement and I think I’m almost there.

Losing Weight. I am not going to beat myself up if I don’t reach this goal, but I would love to lose five pounds by the end of September, which honestly seems like a really easy goal, especially if I stick to the track I’m on.

Decluttering. I have so much makeup and if I’m being honest I’m always getting new stuff, so during the month of September I am really hoping to do a bunch of going through my stuff and getting rid of some things, which means there may be a blog post about that sometime in October.

And that was everything about August and everything I’m hoping to accomplish in the month of September, I guess we’ll see how it all went next month!

What was your favorite part of August?

The Disney Tag

The Disney Tag

I’m back with another Disney tag, I did one a few months ago that I completely forgot about so I’m back doing another one because I can, this one seems to have different questions so that for sure makes it okay, right? Right. Let’s jump in and talk about some Disney.

  1. Favourite scene in a princess movie? Oh gosh, this one is hard, this whole tag might be a little bit hard. I think my favorite scene in a Disney movie has to be the entire scene in the snuggly duck during Tangled, it’s just fun and I really enjoy it.
  2. Last Disney movie you watched? I think the last one I saw in full was Moana, I really need to watch more soon because it’s been a while.
  3. Is your family Disney obsessed? I don’t think I would say they are obsessed, I think they like Disney fine but I not as much as me!
  4. How many times have you visited the Parks? I’ve only ever been to Disney World and I have been more times than I can count probably, which I completely blame on being from Orlando, it’s not that weird to go to Disney a ton when you live in Orlando.
  5. Which Park is your favourite? I guess I would have to say Disney World ’cause that’s the only park I’ve ever been to.
  6. Cinderella’s Castle or Sleeping Beauty’s Castle? Cinderella’s
  7. Favourite animal-themed movie? This one is super simple for me, The Aristocats is my all time favorite animal themed movie.
  8. Would you get married/have your honeymoon in the Parks? I would not want to get married at the parks, it seems a little bit weird to me and I just don’t like it. Now, honeymoon maybe, I don’t think it would be my first choice but I wouldn’t be mad about it either.
  9. If you could date one of the characters, who would it be and why? Flynn Rider, 100%
  10. Favourite villain? Probably Maleficent, I think she’s just a really huge villain, and while I do love Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent is a pretty bad ass villain.
  11. If you could have two characters from two different movies meet, who would they be and why? There are a ton of pairings that I could see coming together for various different reasons, but if I had to pick one I think it would be Rapunzel and Ariel because I think they would enjoy each other and it would be entertaining to see the two interact.
  12. Have you ever met any of the characters at the Parks? Yes, I’ve met all kinds of characters at the parks before, the last time I went I met Starlord and Groot, which was a really fun and cool experience.
  13. Favourite live-action Disney movie? I haven’t seen any of the newer live action fairytales yet and I don’t think I’m brushed up enough on other live action movies to really comment.
  14. Mickey or Minnie? That’s so hard and feels like an unfair question, it’s like picking my left or right leg. If I had to chose I think I would pick Mickey, he’s just really classic and screams Disney.
  15. Which Disney movie is overrated? Frozen. I love Frozen but I think it is over hyped and overrated, it’s a good movie but it’s not the best thing that Disney has ever made.
  16. Favourite Pixar movie? Probably Up, Monster’s Inc. or The Incredibles. I can’t pick!
  17. Favourite sidekick? This one is hard, there are so many options, but probably Pascal.
  18. Favourite Disney movie and why? I think I have to pick Tangled, it’s my favorite princess film hands down but I also think it’s just my favorite Disney movie. I feel like I identify with Rapunzel a little bit, plus this movie is stunning and the soundtrack is so good!

I just want to say that I tag everyone who wants to do this! If you do this you should tag me in it so I can read all about you guys’s Disney preferences. I think this was really fun and something a little bit different.

Do you love Disney?

Review: Anastasia Subculture Eyeshadow Palette

Anastasia SubculturePalette Review

It’s the last Sunday of the month of August, which means it is time for my final season and my final palette review, in case you want to see last weeks, which is Autumn of course, and if you want to see them all, that one should link you to the week before and that one the one before so you can see all of the seasons. For winter I’ve settled on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette, a very talked about palette that I did purchase the day it came out, I was excited and just couldn’t wait. So, I have had this one a while but have been sitting on the review as I wanted it to be my winter palette and I wanted to make sure to have a nice amount of time to play with it. Let’s get on into it.

20170729_162228

I didn’t see any reason in sharing the box that this came in because it looks exactly like the palette packaging itself. I have mixed feelings about the packaging, just like my Modern Rennasiance palette, I like the look of it but I kind of hate the feel of it, I just don’t much care for the feel of velvet combined with the fact that it feels like a type of material that would get dirty really quickly, even if it is dark.

20170729_162243Now, this palette has been getting a lot of feedback about it being too powdery and impossible to blend, I do not agree with that completely. The formula of the matte shadows are very powdery, but I personally don’t think they give off much more kick back than my Modern Renaissance palette does. The shimmers are a different story, the shimmers are much different than the ones in its sister palette, those one are creamy and amazing but these ones are just hard to work with. I’ve found cube does pretty well as an inner corner highlight, it’s impossible to work with otherwise though. Adorn and Electric are really similar in texture, I find that both of these can be worked with alright but I pretty much have to apply them with my fingers, which for me isn’t that big of a deal but I know for some they don’t want to do that.

20170729_162549

The formula of that mattes is amazing though, they are a big powdery and a little bit harder for me to work with than their sister palette, but boy do they pack a punch of color and that is something that I really love.

Now, to talk about the swatches, we are going to go from top to bottom of course. Cube, which you pretty much cannot see, is a light shimmer white kind of colors. Dawn is a really pretty matte, light reddish brown, it’s really quite pretty. Destiny is the perfect dark, matte army green shade. Adorn is a really pretty copper shimmer shade. All Star is one of the stars of this palette if you ask me, it’s a deep blood red matte shade that is just stunning. Mercury reminds me a lot of a really dark taupe kind of shade, it’s interesting for sure. Axis is a really pretty deep matte marine kind of blue, it looks a lot like the marine shade I saw often when looking and bridesmaid dresses. Roxy is a confusing shade if you ask me, it looks light and sherberty in the pan but swatched and on the eye, it is a lot brighter. Electric is pretty interesting, you can barely see it here and it almost looks silver with a green flash to it but it is way more interesting than that, I’m not really sure how to describe it but it’s green, shimmery and really pretty. Fudge looks exactly how I would think it would, a pretty dark red brown. New Wave is one of my favorites as well, it’s a gorgeous matte pumpkin kind of shade. Untamed is a really dark forest green, it’s really similar to Axis but less blue and more muted. Edge is one of the more interesting colors in this group of shadows, it’s kind of a mustard shade and that’s not a common shade, however, I personally love the look of it. And finally Rowdy, which is a really deep, dark purple shade, a blackened plum if you will, it’s very pretty but it almost looks black.

I had a little bit of trouble with this palette, there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the application with this one, however, I think it’s something that I’m doing alright with. Anyway, these are the three looks that I came up with and they feature some of my favorite shades; Electric, Axis, Edge and All Star to name a few. I feel like this palette has a great selection of shades, and while they are a tiny bit random it makes for a ton of versatility in looks and that is something that I quite enjoy.

I feel like I sound like I hate this palette by talking about the fact that it is a little harder to work with than other eyeshadow palettes that I’ve tried, however, I actually quite enjoy this palette. If I’m being honest it isn’t my all time favorite eyeshadow palette, but it’s not my least either, and I personally do not regret picking this one up one bit. I think I need to play with it a little bit more, but overall I am satisfied with all of the looks I’ve created and I enjoy this one.

Did you guys enjoy seeing a palette review every week?

Review: Tarte FRXXXTION Stick

Tarte FrXXXtion Stick Review

I am back with a review today, today’s review should be a good one because I have actually completely used this one up which means I should be able to thoroughly comment on this one because of that. As per usual, I have way more content coming to me than I can keep up, partially because I am a hoarder and partially because I’m always coming up with new ideas, however, I guess that’s alright since that means I’ve always got something to write about. Anyway, today I’m just going to focus on this product!

20170426_141549.jpgThis is the Tarte Frxxxtion Stick, it’s a 3 in 1 exfoliating cleanser, according to the Tarte website it’s a cleanser, exfoliator and face mask all in one. It also twists up, which is really handy. The product comes with 1 full ounce of product for $22.00, which isn’t the best but that’s not half bad, especially since I used mine regularly and had it for at least two months, so that’s not bad at all.

Let’s talk about the packaging of this a little bit, this comes in a pretty standard box, it’s nothing exciting which is why I didn’t really feel the need to share a photo of it, however, I did want to mention it. Now, onto the actual product packaging, which is really straightforward but I quite like that. I don’t think this is the simplest packaging ever but I do think it’s very basic and very Tarte, it’s just a cylinder that turns at the base and it has a gold top, I do like the gold accents on this a lot. The only complaint that I might have about the packaging is that after using this for a little while the inner part of the cap starts to separate from the outer cap, I kept having to shove it back into the outer cap and it was kind of annoying, not that big of a deal but annoying still.
20170426_141602.jpgAnd now this is what the actual product itself looks like, it’s just a black solid form, it almost looks like deodorant but it is for sure not. This product has a fine scrubbing element in it, I’m honestly not sure what that element is but I do know that it’s in there. I think it’s super gentle because I could use this product every day and it wouldn’t irritate my skin, I don’t have the most sensitive skin ever but my skin isn’t not sensitive, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

I never used this product for anything other than a cleanser, and I guess an exfoliator as you can’t really avoid that no matter if you use this as a cleanser or a face mask, but anyway I can’t vouch how well this works as a face mask but I can talk about it as a cleanser. I found that this worked really well and cleaning my face, it was something that would get all of my makeup off, the only thing about that is that you shouldn’t use this on or too close to your eyes, I never tried it but this does not seem like a product that you should do that with as it would probably irritate, but for the rest of my face it did a good job at deep cleaning and gently exfoliating, which is something that I love.

The application is very simple, I personally just twisted it up a little bit and then wiped it all over my face, finishing it but rubbing it in with my hands. The scent of this is honestly so faint that I don’t even remember what it smelled like, I never really noticed it so if you are sensitive to scents I don’t think this one will bother you at all. Overall, I liked this product and am glad that I purchased it, in fact I feel like I will repurchase this some time in the future I’m just not entirely sure when.

What is your favorite facial cleanser?

Disney Inspired: Megara

Disney Inspired

I am back this month with another installment of my Disney inspired makeup looks and I am super excited about it, I think this is probably one of my favorite blog series I’ve ever done and it just makes me really happy. In case you missed out on the first character in the series, last month I did Lottie from The Princess and The Frog.  This month I have settled on Megara from Hercules, another character that I feel like is a little bit under-loved, although I did not choose to do Meg, my fiance actually chose her.

These are the photos that I chose for inspiration, I think they both gave great personality and showed Meg’s makeup fairly clearly. The girl is a little bit sassy and I really wanted to show that in my inspiration and in my look a little bit. I took this one a little bit more literal than I had intended to but at the same time it’s not exact, I’m pretty much calling this one a glammed up Megara. I am obsessed with this look, the only thing that I wouldn’t have worn out is the brows just because I was trying to make them darker. Meg is full of sass and I love that about here, so I think a glammed up version of her isn’t that out there.

Meg is very simple in terms of colors, and I honestly has another intention for my eyes however it ended up just turning into rounded purple eyeshadow, which I think looks great but it wasn’t what I had in mind. Also, the highlighter in this look is my favorite thing ever! Now, onto the products I used!

NYX White Eyeshadow Base

NYX Ulitmate Shadow Palette

Makeup Geek Black Light Duochrome Eyeshadow

Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2 in 1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum in Ultra Black

Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in In The Nude

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

Milk Makeup Blur Stick

Dr. Jart + BB In Light Medium

Catrice Liquid Camo High Coverage Concealer in Light Natural

NYX Blotting Powder in Light

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop

Lime Crime Hi-Lite Mermaids Palette in Pearl

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Bing Matte

And those are all of the products that I used to create this look, what do you guys think, does this scream Meg or did I miss the mark? Personally, I am very happy with it, though I do think it is a little bit hard to get right off the bat, with the inspiration included in this post I think it’s pretty good.

What character would you like to see next month?

Etsy Finds #1

Etsy Finds

I feel like I go through phases when it comes to Etsy, meaning I’m really obsessed with it and then I forget that it exists, this is a pretty quick cycle between the two but since I’m doing a post all about Etsy finds I think it might be clear that I am really into Etsy at this moment in time. Basically, if this post isn’t already clear, I’m just going to share some Etsy finds that I either really want to get my hands on or just think are really cool, because Etsy is such a huge place where you can get all sorts of things and that’s what I love about it, plus I love smaller business and handmade things, I think it’s all around a really neat place.

These really cute black tassel fan earrings are from midgetgems on Etsy. I really love tassel earrings at the moment in time, I have a ton favorited on my Etsy and these were the pair that really stuck out to me, so that’s why I decided to feature these ones today. It says these are black but they look a little more navy like to me, which I personally prefer and I prefer gold over silver, so these are just right up my alley.

I have another pair of earrings to share, these ones are studs and a little bit more understated I think. These are from TwoBlueCreations, on Etsy, of course. I’ve been looking at this style of earring for a little while now, I really like the shape of it, how it has glitter suspended in it and it just looks a little foggy. This shop has a bunch of different options of earrings that look like these but these are the ones that I thought were best.

Pins and things like that seem to be crazy popular right now, at one point I saw no one talking about them but now they are everywhere, especially on Etsy. Because of this, I picked this really cool Sailor Moon one out from PixiuNYC on Etsy. I have been eyeing this for a little while now, I love Sailor Moon and I love that this flips open, it just overall seems really cool and I’m probably going to have to purchase this before jacket season hits us. I wear most of my pins on my denim jacket.

It’s probably clear by the recent posts on my blog that I have fallen back in love with nail polish, we never parted ways but I wasn’t really buying polish often and wasn’t as focused on it, I have returned though. This polish is from GiddyDesign on Etsy. I’m not a huge fan of white polishes but I adore this one because of all of the colorful, pastel glitter that is suspended throughout it.

I love this tee! It’s very simple and straight forward, which I quite enjoy. This is from RevlApparel on Etsy. I’m thinking about getting this for myself and my bridesmaids as our matching tees, instead of being one of those obnoxious bridesmaids, bride, etc. kind of shirts. I am debating between one of those obnoxious ones and this, not sure if I’m going to go either route but I do enjoy this shirt.

Speaking of wedding things, here is another wedding type of item that I have had my eye on for way too long now. I am not sure if I will be wearing a garter or not, which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger on this beauty. This garter is from annabrides on Etsy. This will be the garter I wear if I do wear one.

I feel like this one is almost more of a shop find than it is just an item, I had such a hard time picking out one card to use in this post but I settled on this one, which is just the cutest thing ever. This is from MyZoetrope on Etsy. All of the cards in this shop are so cute! It’s so hard to just pick one when you look through it all.

And my last item is something really similar to something that I used to own but ended up breaking and that is this really cute cat lady wine glass, it just speaks to me and I love it so I had to feature it here. This is from HakunaMoscatoDesigns on Etsy. They sell tons of stemless wine glasses but this is my all time favorite!

And those are all of the finds that I am featuring this time around. I really loved doing this post and I hope you guys enjoy it to, if you do I’m really thinking about making this a monthly post just because it was so fun and I love finding cute things on Etsy. I think this was a fun mix to show off how wide the Etsy range can be, even though this was only a little taste.

Should I make this a monthly post?
