Why April 2020 Was Awesome + Goals

I am actually surprised how quickly the month of April has gone by, I expected it to be a long one but it went by rather quickly and I’m kind of happy about that. I know a lot of people haven’t been enjoying being at home but I kind of had, anyway, let’s just jump in and see how April went with a little more detail.

I am sure a lot of people are in similar positions but I have been in my house for the entire month of April and honestly, it’s been kind of nice for me personally, I do understand that not everyone is having that same feeling and things are hard but I am fortunate enough to be able to do my job from home and get outside since I live in a more rural area of Virginia.

The month has gone by pretty quickly and honestly, the month hasn’t been exciting but that is kind of to be expected. I have seriously gone through pretty much everything in my house and have a big pile of things that I want to list on Mercari because why not? I have also spent a lot of time cleaning, which I think kind of goes hand in hand with the whole decluttering my house and life thing.

The other side of things is that I may have done some online shopping but not nearly as much as I thought that I would. I have been cooking and messing around a little bit with new things since I am trying to limit my grocery store trips as much as possible, but sometimes you just gotta venture out and get supplies. Other than those trips I haven’t really been out very much as to be expected.

I have been spending more time on my porch and out taking bike rides, along with playing on my switch a lot more and writing more than I have in a long time, however, I’m still not ahead nor on top of blog posts so figure that one out.

Now, let’s get into the goals from last month, I kept it short and I think I did alright this month. I didn’t get into a good workout groove but I did work out more than I did last month, just not consistently always, so I guess that’s a win? And I crushed my goal of getting ahead on my reading challenge. Yeah, I think I am about six books ahead of schedule and I am almost always reading now, I spend so much time just reading.

So now, let’s set some goals for the month of May. First up I would like to workout three times a week this feels like a lot but at the same time I think I’m going to count a lot of things as working out until I get more regular and in better shape, so for now it’s more about getting in the habit of making myself doing something. I also want to keep up with staying ahead of my book challenge and I think that I can do that pretty easily, but we’ll see. The last thing that I am debating putting on here is driving more I don’t really have anywhere to go but it would be nice to get out for a few minutes, plus there aren’t as many cars on the road so it’ll probably be better for learning to drive again.

And that is the month of April for me, something super boring but a good month nonetheless, especially given the circumstances of the world being on fire.

How was April for you guys? Need to get anything out? I’m always here to listen.
