January 2020 Favorites + Unfavorites

I think I mentioned at one point that I have some small changes planned and this is another one of them, I will be dropping sharing a makeup look with you guys and instead be talking about the products that I did not like this month that I tried, which I thought would be a fun addition. So let’s get into talking about the things that I really enjoyed and the things that I am ready to let go of.

Lush Celebrate Body Spray – I can’t link to this one because it was limited, but I love this scent so much that I just had to share it in this months favorites. This smells exactly like I want it to, it smells like the Celebrate scent from Lush if you have ever given that a sniff. This is fresh, citrusy and lingers for a very long time so I hope they bring this one back out again at some point.

Colourpop Precision Blending Sponge – I tried this for whatever reason but I’m glad that I did because I actually really like it. This is smaller than the Real Techniques one, I think this one is softer though and I really like the way that it applies my makeup.

Colourpop Uh-Huh Honey Palette – I was so on the fence about this when I ordered it, it was exploring a color that I do not have enough of in my collection but I also wasn’t sure how often I would use an all yellow eyeshadow palette. I have used this pretty much every time that I wore eyeshadow over this past month, either as a pop or as most of my look, I have been super happy with the quality of it and how looks have turned out because of this palette.

Tarte Sugar Rush Lip Oil in Cherry Slush – This gives the lips such a nice flush of color and such a great shine to it, it’s really pretty while also being super easy to wear. This is really moisturizing as well, it’s just a great lip oil.

Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder – I didn’t expect a whole lot from this powder but I actually ended up really loving it, it sets my makeup so nicely and gives me a soft glow to the skin without looking powdery. I like how it feels on the skin as well and am just really happy with it.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – This is a favorite of mine and a cult favorite, which makes so much sense to me. This has a pretty good sprayer, but more importantly, this leaves my makeup feeling locked in places and really helps prolong the wear of my makeup all day. I don’t use this all of the time but I do love it.

Colourpop Lite Stix in Star Brite – I loved this at first, I was super excited when I swatched it and thought that this was stunning but have learned since then that this is really glittery. I don’t mind a glittery kind of highlight but this one is too much glitter, maybe I’m doing something wrong but I simply do not like it and will be passing it along.

The Balm Batter Up in Moon Shot – I have had this one for too long and it’s no longer as good as it once, I just think that this was never as useful as I wanted it to be for me so this one is getting tossed.

Lime Crime Velvetine Lip Liner in Pumpkin – I love this formula and I love these lip liners, however I am not sure what I was thinking with this color, this is simply not a shade that I will ever wear as it is too bright and just not for me. So, this one will get passed along as well.

And those are all of my favorites and less than favorites, I think this will be a great addition to talk about things I simply didn’t like and things that I am decluttering, because I can feel that coming. I don’t want to hold onto things that I don’t like because I have spent the money already. Anyway, it’s a pretty short list but everything that I listed are things that I genuinely enjoyed.

Do you have anything that you are decluttering this month?
