This is my very first Is It Worth It? post and I am really excited about it, I’m not sure when I’ll do another one but if this one goes over well I am sure that I will sometime in the future. What this is going to be is me sharing five products that I think are worth the hype that they are given and five products that I think aren’t worth it, and of course, I’ll explain why I think they are or they aren’t. So, let’s dive right in.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – I know I have talked about how much I love this product on pretty much every platform but I am just a really big fan of this one. I think this one really helps prolong the wear of my makeup no matter what the weather is like. I like that the spray on this one feels pretty good and I don’t mind the smell of it either, it’s just a really great product and I can understand why so many people talk about it.
Anastasia Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette – This is here mostly for the Anastasia eyeshadow formula, I do really like this palette and think it’s a good one, it’s also one of the few Anastasia palettes that made it through my huge declutter that I had a little while ago. These shadows are a tiny bit powdery but they are so pretty on the eyes and so easy to work with that I can overlook that part of them.
NYX Epic Ink Eyeliner – This is a newer product but I have heard a pretty good amount of people sing it’s praise and that’s for pretty good reason. This one is very dark and has a very fine line, which is what I am looking for in an eyeliner. This one is a little bit newer to me but I think I can still say that I think this is worth the hype that I think this one is getting.
Colourpop Just a Tint – I’m not sure if these are getting hyped up or if I am just talking about these so much that in my mind they are super hyped up. Either way, I love these and wanted to include them on this list because I think that they are simply fantastic. These smell like a tropical dream, these are super comfortable on the lips and they give such a nice flush of color on the lips. I am a big fan.
Pixi Glow Tonic – This is one that I haven’t talked about in a while and haven’t heard anyone talk about in a minute either, but at one point this stuff was everywhere and I think it was for good reason. This is hands down the best toner that I have ever used, I think it simply does wonders for my skin and leaves my skin feels so soft.
Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Lip Balm – I’m not sure if this particular product is hyped up or if it more just the brand that gets really hyped up but either way I don’t think this product is worth the hype or the price tag that comes along with it. I do like this, this was gifted to me and I will use it but I don’t think it’s really anything special.
Drunk Elephant C-Tango Eye Cream – Drunk Elephant has gotten tons of hype and people talking about it, some of the products I can understand why even though they are expensive they are great. This one, on the other hand, is expensive and it really didn’t do a whole lot for my skin, I just felt like this was something that I was putting on and it wasn’t doing anything, which should not be happening in a product worth upwards of sixty dollars.
Benefit Badgal Bang Mascara – I think all of the Benefit mascaras get a lot of hype, once again I like this mascara but I really don’t think it’s worth all of the praise that it gets as there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that work just as well as this one.
Tatcha The Silk Canvas – I am not sure how I feel about this product, I liked it at first but the more I use it the less I feel like I like it, it just doesn’t feel like it is doing a whole lot. This was probably one of the most hyped up products in the entire year of 2019 and while it’s alright, I just don’t get this one.
Natasha Denona Mini Gold Eyeshadow Palette – This is a brand that I have heard so many amazing things about, this is supposed to have one of the best eyeshadow formulas and honestly, I don’t think it’s that great. I do like this and I will use it, I just don’t think this deserves all the praise it gets because it’s a pretty standard nice quality eyeshadow that I could find in a lot of other brands.
And these are the ten things that I wanted to feature in this post, I had a lot of fun writing this post and talking about somethings that I think are really lovely and some things that just fall a little short. If you guys think I should do another one of these at some point, let me know down below.
