I’m pretty sure I mostly do these at this point so I have to force myself to sit back and take a few minutes to relax, that and I have a ton of skincare that I really need to get through and these posts are also great reminders for me to use the things that I have, just in case anyone was ever curious about why I post these. So, let’s not waste any more time and let’s just dive into this one.
This is the Bliss Pumpkin Powerhouse Resurfacing and Exfoliating Mask, this one will run you $15.00 and comes with 1.7oz of product. I personally picked mine up from Target but I know there are various places Bliss can be found.
Let’s take a minute to talk about the packaging, I like the overall look of it, I’m not sure why but it looks very clean and bright, it’s something that I really like. What I don’t like is how the bottom is kind of hollow so it makes the jar look bigger than it actually is.
Maybe it’s weird to say that but I really like the way this mask looks in the jar, it looks like straight-up pumpkin puree to me and that is so interesting to me for whatever reason.
I also have no idea why, but I thought this would smell like pumpkin pie but it doesn’t, I don’t know how to describe what it smells like, it smells kind of natural if that makes sense? It’s not bad but it’s not a good one either. I understand scent doesn’t truly matter when it comes to skincare but I like it when a skincare product smells nice and this one does not particularly.
Let’s get into the real nitty-gritty and talk about how this mask performs.
This mask claims to help stimulate the renewal process while also hydrating, it targets dull and congested complexion and is supposed to help seal in moisture. This one also appears to be chock full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This one has a lot of claims though mostly is sounds like it’s supposed to help with moisture and help a lot with texture.
So, I guess now the question is do I think that it does what it claims to do? Yes and no. I do think that this leaves my skin feeling very soft and hydrated, I don’t find that it stays hydrated for a particularly long time. I also don’t think that this mask is particularly skin smoothing, which is one of the bigger claims that it makes. I have only used this a handful of times and overall I do think it does what it mostly claims to do, but I think it falls short just a little bit.
I do like this mask and I will continue to use it, I’m not sure that I would repurchase it yet but I do like it enough to finish it up. I do wish that it smelled a little bit better, but it’s nothing too much. I also wanna throw in there that I really love the color of this, I think it’s just so pretty, even if that is a little bit strange to say about a face mask.
