December 2019 Empties

I’m pretty impressed with the amount of product that I was able to use up during the month of December, it was my best month yet. I think I really focused on using things up and had some things that were nearly finished at the end of November, also I do have a couple things in here that I am decluttering but I always include those in my empties so I don’t think that’s cheating. This one is probably gonna be a long one so I would grab a snack before settling in to read this post.

Hask Peach Lemonade Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner – Shampoo and conditioner are things that I go through way too quickly, I don’t wash my hair every day and I don’t feel like I use that much in the shower, but I really fly through them. These were not my favorite, they didn’t really do a whole lot for my hair and I didn’t love the scent as much as some other things, it wasn’t bad just not my favorite. Repurchase: Probably not.

Hask Peach Lemonade 5-in-1 Conditioning Spray – This wasn’t my favorite either, I don’t know why but I just didn’t love it. Repurchase: No.

Hask Mint Lemonade 5-in-1 Conditioning Spray – I love the scent of this one, I just don’t love these conditioning sprays because I feel like I have do use so much product to get the results that I want from them. Repurchase: No.

Brite Vegan Ice Cream Hair Masks in Mango Gelato & Blueberry Muffin – I think at this point you guys probably know how I feel about these, I love these and think they do great things for improving the condition of my hair. The mango was a great scent and the blueberry was a little off but it didn’t bother me, I quite liked both of them. Repurchase: Yes.

Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine – This is just a little sample size and I have used these up before, I like this one because I think it smells like fresh orange juice but my husband tells my I smell like an old lady. So, I still like it and think it lasts incredibly well. Repurchase: Probably not, just because my husband hates it and I feel like I wouldn’t wear it as much.

Frank Stimulating Scalp Scrub – I thought I was going to love this but it turns out that I actually hated this, this did nothing for me and was impossible to get all of the little scrubby particles out of my hair. This didn’t smell great and I don’t feel like I got any benefit out of this one. Repurchase: No.

Ariana Grande Thank U Next Perfume – This is a mini size and it has not been used up, I just hated the way that this smelled on my and couldn’t wear it, so into the empties been this went even though technically this is a declutter. Repurchase: No.

Sugar Milk Cookie Dough Sugar Scrub – I loved this stuff, though I must admit it was hard to not want to eat this since this smells exactly like cookie dough and looks just like it too. This was a really fine scrub and a moisturizing one, so I think this was a really great product and I am super happy with it. Repurchase: Yes.

Ulta Shower Jams in Lemon & Strawberry – These have the strangest consistency in any product that I have ever tried, they aren’t like a shower jelly or thin like a shower gel, they are like weirdly thick and kind of chunk off. It’s a very strange thing to try and describe. I started using these to make bubbles in baths finally and I think that is a great use of these. These do smell really great and exactly like what they are supposed to, they just have an awful texture. Repurchase: I wouldn’t.

I Scream Nails We’re Done – When I saw these come out I knew that I had to try them, I was way too intrigued by these not to. These are scented, water-based, biodegradable nail remover pads and they sounded too get to be true. That’s because they are, I used this pack up so quickly because it took so much effort to get even a creme polish off, these are a great idea but not the best. Repurchase: No.

Baroness X Acetone Antidote in PSL of Doom – I am new to acetone additives but I really love them already, this is the first one I have ever tried and I think it has helped quite a bit with making my nails feel more moisturized. This also adds a nice scent to it that takes away from the strong acetone odor. This is super easy to use as well, just pour it into your nail polish remover and shake before use. Repurchase: I would.

Up & Up 100% Acetone Nail Polish Removal – This is a really basic product and something that I use really regularly, I like it, it does the job and it’s affordable. Repurchase: Yes.

Ulta Nail Polish Remover – This is just a mini size and this works fine, it’s nothing amazing or that different from other nail polish removers, I have no problems with it either. Repurchase: Maybe.

Bath & Body Works Foaming Handsoap in You’re Magical – These are the handsoaps that I always use and I quite like them. I can’t remember what the scent of this one was exactly but I liked it. Repurchase: Yes.

Tarte Sugar Rush Cake Butter Lotion – This is just a mini size and I really enjoyed it, the smell is really familiar but I can’t really put my finger on what it reminds me of. It’s kind of sweet but also fresh, it’s light and I like it. The lotion isn’t too thick but it is really moisturizing, overall a really nice product. Repurchase: Yes.

Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil – This has been sitting in my desk for most of the year and I have been using it pretty regularly, so because of that I think I went through this quicker than I thought I would. I also spilled some of this in my drawer, or more, it kind of leaked out a few times so that also probably contributed to my usage of this. Repurchase: Maybe.

The Creme Shop Chococat Hand Lotion – This did not have my favorite scent but I think the packaging is so cute so that made up for the lack of scent, this is really nice and moisturizing without being too heavy which is something else I liked. Repuchase: Yes.

Benefit Roller Liner – This is a mini size and one that lasted me quite a while. I really loved this one while I had it, it’s super fine and dark, but it isn’t the easiest to use and I think I have found even better than this one. That seems to be my thing with felt tip liners, fall in love with one, then try another and it’s a little bit better. This one is still great and I would use it again. Repurchase: Yes.

Zoya Nail Armor – There is a tiny bit left in this but this has gotten so thick that I am just not able to use it easily, plus it sometimes leaves bubbles and it’s just time to pass this one along to the trash. This does leave my nails looking fairly shiny and I think that it does prolong the wear of my polish, it’s a good topcoat. Repurchase: Yes.

Ulta Lip Whip in Blackberry – This is full because I had a weird reaction to this and also hated the color to this. This smelled amazing but because I couldn’t really use it I can’t say much about it. Repurchase: No.

Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser – This is another mini-sized product and I really loved this one, this one is super gentle on the skin but leaves it feeling really moisturizing. This gets every drop of makeup off and a little goes a long way, I really enjoyed this. Repurchase: Yes.

Mac Strobe Cream – These are minis and I have been through quite a bit of this product over the years, I really like these and have. This gives my skin a really nice little glow and helps moisturize, it’s just a pretty great product. Repurchase: Yes.

Essence Make Me Brow in Soft Browny Brows – I have probably had this for too long but have still been using it and it doesn’t seem to be a problem, however this is finally starting to dry up and I think I am running out. This was a really easy to use product, gives my brows a little extra something and is extremely affordable. Repurchase: Yes.

Clinique Lip Gloss – I am not sure what shade this is or when I even got it, but this is mostly used up and it’s really pretty, this is a great springy kind of shade. The formula of this was a little bit more sticky than I would have liked but it was still pretty good. Repurchase: Maybe.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango Eye Cream – This is something that I have used up before and while I like it fine I don’t think that this really does anything for me, so the price of these products without knowing if it does anything for my makes it hard for me to want to repurchase. Repurchase: Probably not.

Tony Moly Peach Lip Balm – This is super adorable because this is shaped just like a little peachy, this also smells amazing and left my lips feeling really moisturized. The only down side to this product is that it is in a pot so you do have to dip your finger directly into it. Repurchase: Yes, I would.

I used up thirty different items this month and I am really impressed with myself, that feels like a good amount and that means that’s thirty things that I got to enjoy fully, or maybe not enjoy but either way, my collection is shrinking a bit this month.

What have you guys used up recently?
