2019 Makeup Favorites

Now that skincare is out of the way I thought that it would be the perfect time to share all of my makeup favorites. I’m not sure what happened to me this year but it’s like in the second half of the year I fell out of love with makeup. I still enjoy makeup and playing with it, just not quite as much as I once did and I have been doing some major decluttering of it. So, because of this I think this one might be a little shorter than expected, but either way let’s dive in and talk about makeup.

Lime Crime Wet Cherry Lip Gloss in Sweet Cherry – I am still on the fence about how these smell even though I am including this in my yearly favorites, they don’t stink by any means but they aren’t my favorite scent for a lip gloss. This shade however is super pretty by itself or overtop of lipsticks, it leaves my lips looking super gloss and it’s not too terribly sticky considering how glossy it is.

Hourglass Ambient  Lighting Edit – I’m not sure which one this one is, it’s hard for me to remember but what I can say for sure is that I really love this one. These blushes are stunning, they are glowy and really soft, but they are buildable if you are looking for that kind of look. The finishing powders and the highlights are just stunning as well, the only thing that I can’t really vouch for is the bronzer because I personally haven’t used a ton of that yet.

Too Faced Dew You Foundation in Swan – This is a newer love but I like it enough to include it on this list. This foundation is light to medium coverage but it’s pretty buildable, I think this feels really refreshing and light on the skin. I also love the light scent to this.

Ofra Moisturizing Lipstick in Rose – This smells like candy and that alone is reason enough for me to love this one, but this one is super moisturizing and it’s a really pretty tint of color on the lips so I had to include this one.

Colourpop Just a Tint in The Strand – This is another one that smells really great, this one smells like tropical fruit to me which is something that I really love. I like how each this is to apply, I like how moisturizing and glossy it is, and I love the color of this. It’s kind of the perfect my lips but better kind of shade.

Lime Crime Bushy Brown Pen & Brow Gel –  I feel like these two are one of those things where you can’t have one without the other, maybe that’s just me but I find myself using both of these pretty often and I love them both for different reasons. The pen is great to add into any sparse spots and the gel is great for setting them in place. These two are perfect together and I never thought I would care about eyebrow products at all.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – This is a classic and a cult favorite for a reason, this is the best setting spray that I have ever used, when I am looking to keep everything in place for a long time this is where I go.

Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas in Illustrate – I have one problem with this stuff and that is how liquidy it is, but I fix that by using another brush to apply it. This stuff is perfect for creating cut creases, it does a really great job at covering up eyeshadow that I may have gone a little rouge with and it works as a pretty great base.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder – I never thought that I would have such strong opinions about a pressed powder but I do, I think this will be what I buy once I am finished with this and a couple others because this powder is simply stunning. This leaves my skin looking so perfected, it’s just a great one.

Lime Crime Softwear Blush in Petal.jpg – I feel like no one has talked about these at all, but I really love this blush. This has a little bit of a strange formula, it’s like a really waxy creamy that blends onto the skin beautifully. This shade is also something that I don’t have anywhere else in my collection, it’s so natural on my skin and I love it.

Nars Eyeshadows in Andromeda – I have been using this as a highlighter since I got this and it does really well as a highlight, it’s really soft and pretty but it has a little bit of punch to it. I have never actually used this as an eyeshadow but I think it would probably be pretty all over the lid.

And those are all of my makeup favorites from the year, I feel like it’s less than usual but I don’t think that’s really a bad thing. I for sure like everything on this list and have used these products a bunch of times.
