2019 Skincare Favorites

When I sat down to do my favorites I had kind of expected to group skincare in with makeup and just do beauty, but as I was picking out all of the things that I really loved and wanted to talk about this past year I realized that I have a bunch of skincare favorites. I guess I was interested in skincare more this year than I have ever been before and because of that I have a bunch of products to share with you guys, so grab a snack and let’s get into it.

Tarte Sugar Rush Don’t Hate Hydrate Moisturizer – This is probably one of my favorite moisturizers that I have ever used, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see it on this list. This moisturizer is fairly affordable, it’s really lightweight and I like the packaging that it comes in.

Truly Organic Unicorn Fruity Body Butter –  This is one of the stranger body butters that I have tried, it’s super thick but melts into the skin with ease, basically as soon as it comes in contact with warmth it starts to melt and sink it. It’s really a heavier moisturizer and sometimes I need that, plus it smells like fruity cereal and is super cute in the container with all of it’s colors.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels – I assume there is no surprise here to anyone who has been here before, I have a deep love of these even though I’m not sure that they do anything for my skin, but they feel cooling and relaxing so I like them.

Drunk Elephant Night Bright Duo – Instead of doing these two induviually I thought that I would share them in this set, because that is for sure where I got these two from. The one with the pink lid is my favorite product from Drunk Elephant, it does amazing things for keeping my skin feeling smooth and looking clear. As for the oil, this gives me fantastic hydration when I need it, it is an oil afterall.

Patchology Perk Up Eye Gels – Yes, another type of eye gels are on this list and I really like these. These smell amazing and as weird as it might be, I find the scent of these to be really relaxing so the feel and the combination of the scent really help me relax some. These have a great thin texture as well that I really like, while also not being too wet.

Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte – This was such a curve ball, I never expected to like this as much as I do when I first got my hands on this one. This does have a little bit of a tint to it but I wear in under makeup so I don’t notice it, I assume it’s doing at least a decent job of protecting me from the sun while it’s also making my skin look extra nice. I just really like this one.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Mist – I’m surprised at how much I have left of this mist, I have used it a bunch and still have so much left. This has a really soft kind of watermelon scent to it and I love that, this also leaves my skin looking a little bit glow after use which I think is the point. And the mist on this one is so fine and perfect, I almost want to reuse this bottle but I am not sure if I will be able to.

Half Caked Suga Suga Cotton Candy Lip Scrub – I am nearing the end of my time with this guy and I would bet you guys are probably a little bit excited about that because that means I will finally stop talking about this, but for now I have it and will sing it’s praises. This smells amazing, this tastes amazing and this does an amazing job at buffing the dead skin off of my lips. This is also a bright blue sugar scrub and this girl loves that.

Deborah Lippmann The Cure – This was another item that I never expected to love as much as I do, but I do love it quite a bit. This has a really soft scent to it, it’s kind of floral and it’s not my favorite but it’s not strong enough to really both me. A little bit of this goes a long way and really does wonders for the skin around my nails and really my whole hand, but I try not to use it all over too often.

G9 Skin Slice Peach Mask – These are shaped like little peaches and it’s too cute, I also love a mask like this one, it let’s me choose where I really want to focus since this mask comes in pieces. This smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling really hydrating.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoilating Clay Mask – This does amazing things for my skin, it leaves my skin feeling smoothing and looking smooth, which I really like the look of. This is super easy to use and is a little bit uncomfortable as it starts to dry, but I like what it does for my skin.

Atelier Cologne Pomelo Paradis Perfume – I love the scent of this, this seriously smells so great, even though I don’t use this as much as I might like since it’s a little bit on the pricey side of things and I want it to last forever, I would purchase another at some point because it just smells so good.

Bliss Jelly Glow Peel – This is such a strange product because I’m pretty sure I can feel the dead skin balling up on my face as I rub this into my skin, it’s really fantastic and a little bit strange to see and feel, but it leaves my skin looking and feeling smooth so I will continue to use this one.

And those are all of my skincare favorites from the year, a good mix of brands and products, a good mix of prices too I think, but all things that I really enjoyed. I also expected this to be much longer than it was but I guess I kept it a on the shorter side for what it is.

What are some of your skincare favorites from the year?
