I know that I review all sorts of Lush bath products but I like to mix it up from time to time and try out products that aren’t bath related, I don’t do it as often as I might like to but I do try to because I want to try things that aren’t bath products. Today is all about one of the limited edition shower gels for the season, so let’s talk about happy.
This one is all about the Happy Shower Gel from the Lush Cosmetics Christmas range. This comes in four sizes, 3.3oz, 8.4oz, 16.9oz, and 33.8oz. I personally got mine in the 8.4oz size, which will run you $19.95 and of course the other vary by size. This shower gel features lots of great ingredients such as walnut leaf and dandelion root infusion, Sicilian lemon oil, sweet wild orange oil, neroli oil, and fine sea salt. So, as you might have guessed this one is a citrusy scented shower gel just like I like.
Let’s just dive directly into the scent of this product, on the first sniff I was in love with this scent but that may have just been that it was the first thing I sniffed after a bunch of things that I really didn’t like. This is sweet and has a citrusy scent to it, but there’s something to it that I just can’t put my finger on, which I know doesn’t help you guys out when you’re reading this review. It just smells a little bit off and that really takes it down a notch for me, I still really enjoy the smell but not as much as some other things.
I do want to take a moment to talk about the look of this shower gel, which I know is not something you hear someone say a lot but this shower gel is the prettiest one that I have ever seen. The blue shade is beautiful and the shimmer in the gel itself just takes it to the next level, it is stunning. That being said, this shower gel does contain quite a bit of glitter in it though I barely notice it on the skin but, it’s something to remember if you really want to avoid shimmer. The last thing to go over is how this leaves my skin feeling and I like this shower gel more than I do the ones you get from the store, I’m not sure what it is completely but I just think these leave my skin feeling better moisturized and as a dry skinned person that is something that I really appreciate.
So, overall I do like this shower gel I just wished it smelled a tiny bit better, I wish that slight funky note that this one has after you smell it for a second would go away. The scent might even be considered medcinal almost. It’s odd and it doesn’t take away too much but it is a little bit strange.
Have you guys picked anything up from the Christmas range at Lush?
