Fun story, I was thinking about doing 31 days of empties because I was seriously finishing things up like crazy, however, I didn’t quite make it there so instead we are just going to do a normal empties post. This one is still going to be pretty hardy so grab a drink, maybe a snack and let’s just dive in.
Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care – This is a product that I have used before and one that I am sure I will use again at some point, I mix this into my routine every now and again to try and deal with the dry scalp or dandruff that I have. I’m not sure what it is so I figure this will help either way and it does, plus it smells nice. Repurchase: Yes.
Cake The Soft Serve Conditioner – I picked this up at random one day and this stuff smells really fantastic, it has a strong scent to it and kind of smells like a cinnamony waffle cone, I like it but I could also seeing someone sensitive to scents not loving this one. This one was fine as a conditioner, it wasn’t anything above and beyond but it wasn’t bad either. Repurchase: Maybe.
Nature Love Apple Cider Vinegar Scrub – I was hoping this would replace a product that I once loved but this did not. I loved the smell of this, it smelled really nice and fresh, I think it did a great job at really cleaning my hair and overall I liked it. My one bone to pick with this one is that the salt would not come out of the tub, therefore making it not really much of a scrub. Repurchase: Maybe.
Cake The Mane Manage’r – This is a leave-in conditioner that I gave a try because it was on sale when I bought the conditioner. This has the same kind of scent to it and I really quite like that, however, I hated this as a leave-in conditioner. I went through this so quickly because I had to use so much for it to do its job. Repurchase: No.
Brite Ice Cream Hair Masque – These are in Vanilla Bean, which I liked at first but it has the weirdest slightly doritos-esque scent to it, I don’t like it but I did like the feeling it left. The other is Salted Caramel which I thought was fine in terms of scent, it wasn’t anything exciting but it wasn’t bad either. These both were great masks and left my hair feeling nice and soft. Repurchase: Probably not these scents.
Smartly Smells Like Summertime Shaving Foam – This was fine, this is like your typical shaving foam except the packaging is more appealing and I think the scent is as well. Repurchase: Maybe, this was fine.
Bath & Body Works Island Papaya Foaming Hand Soap – This was a really nice last touch of summer for me, this smelled super light and fresh but also really fruity, a perfect summer scent if you ask me. I’m not ready for winter and fall but I guess I’m going to have be. Repurchase: Yes, I would.
Lush Avocado Wash Shower Gel – This smelled amazing and was such a great shower gel for someone who showers in the morning a lot of the time, it was seriously so bright and energizing. This has a really great citrusy and lemongrass kind of scent to it that I really loved. Also the color was so green and so fun. Repurchase: Yes.
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer – There is still concealer left in this one but not very much, plus this is super old so I thought that it was time to let this one go. I love this concealer, I think it’s a really comfortable one on the skin but gives really great coverage. I also love the applicator and the size of this concealer, this one is pretty great. Repurchase: Yes, I would.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask – I have had this one for too long so the little bit that is left is not something that I want to use. I liked this fine though I don’t think this was anything amazing. I love the packaging and the way that this product smells like fresh watermelon, it also gave my skin some extra hydration but other than that it was kind of just meh. Repurchase: Maybe.
e.l.f. Kiss It Goodbye Lip Color Remover – This feels like a super gimmicky item but I wanted to try it out and see how it worked. This wasn’t great, which isn’t too surprising but I can say that for sure now. It was very liquidy and didn’t do a great job at removing lip color, it just did alright. Repurchase: No.
I Dew Care Plush Party Lip Mask – This one is almost full because I had an allergic reaction to this one, I still wanted to include it in my empties because they are most empties but sometimes I throw in declutters like this one. This one is super cute and it smells really great, it’s just one that I have to pass along. Repurchase: No.
Miracle Romance Sailor Venus Lip Balm – I actually really liked this one, it wasn’t my all-time favorite lip balm ever but it was nice. I love the packaging of course and really thought about keeping it but I’m not sure what I would do with it. Repurchase: maybe, it is kind of pricey because it is fantastic packaging.
Da Bomb Unicorn Fizz Bath Shot – Maybe I just didn’t read enough but I thought this one going to be loose, like bath bomb dust and this was something that I had to submerge the whole container in to get out. This smelled nice and had a fun prize in the center, it just wasn’t anything amazing and not something I would get again. Repurchase: No.
Bareminerals Dew Mist Shimmering Setting Spray – This is just a little deluxe sized sample but I still wanted to include this one. I liked this alright, it wasn’t the best ever but it wasn’t bad. This left my skin looking really shimmery but I don’t think that it really helped prolong the wear of my makeup. Repurchase: Probably not.
Tarte Sea Quench Lip Rescue Balm in Nude – This is another mini-sized product but this one wasn’t as easy to use up. I did like this one, this one was really moisturizing and comfortable on the lips, this was a really sheer and easy color to wear and overall I just enjoyed this tinted lip balm. Repurchase: Maybe.
Lancome Cils Booster XL Lash Primer – This wasn’t any better than my essence brand the last primer if you ask me. I don’t always use lash primer but sometimes I like to because I think it adds a little bit of extra oomph to my lashes. This one was fine, it wasn’t anything exciting and I would never pay full price for it. Repurchase: No.
Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy – I believe this was a limited edition holiday color and that’s why it’s red, I got it in a set last year and I loved the way that it smelled. This smells super great, this has a really nice sweet scent to it without being overwhelming. Repurchase: Yes, I would.
Skinfood Black Sugar Scrub – This is a fairly gentle scrub, I personally used this multiple times a week and it didn’t bother my skin at all. I loved the way this smells, it smells kind of fruity like sprite but also a little bit like cherry coke to me, it was very odd but pleasant. This left my skin feeling ultra-smooth after I used it and I loved it. Repurchase: Yes.
Drunk Elephant Protini Moisturizer – This is a mini size and lasted me way longer than I had expected it to, which is nice. I liked this product fine though I am not sure that it is worth the hefty price tag that comes with it, very few Drunk Elephant products feel like they have been worth it for me. Repurchase: No.
Skyn Iceland Hydro Cooling Firm Eye Gels – These are really great products that I love the feel of and using. These are super cooling and I like that they don’t have any goop to them, as weird as that might sound. I find that these give me a nice perk up under the eyes and while it’s not much, these go on sale a bunch so I don’t mind purchasing these. Repurchase: Yeah, probably.
Ariana Grande Cloud – I loved the way this smelled until I put it on my skin, this smelled awful on me, I guess it just doesn’t mix with me. This is mostly full so I’ll probably pass this along to my sister or something. Repurchase: No.
And that is everything that I used up during the month of October, I really got through a good amount of product, twenty-three to be exact. I really wanted to do thirty-one days but I didn’t quite make, a good attempt though. Maybe next month I can top this, though I seriously doubt it.
What have you guys used up this month?
