Review: Lush Ginger Ninja Bath Bomb

It has taken me months to get to this point but this is finally my last Lush review from that huge bath bomb release that had back in May. I think it was May, I’m not completely sure but I know it was a while ago. I am excited to have finally gotten a chance to talk about all of the bath bombs that I purchased from that adventure. Some were great and some not so much, but today is really about this fun little guy, Ginger Ninja, so let’s get into talking all about him.

This is the Ginger Ninja bath bomb from Lush, this one will run you $5.95 and comes in at a total weight of 4.5oz of bath bomb. Believe it or not, this one is vegan.

This one has some pretty good ingredients in it such as ginger oil, mimosa absolute, Sicilian mandarin oil, sandalwood oil, geranium oil, and bergamot oil. This one sounds like a good mix of floral and citrus to me, not really ginger at all based on the ingredients.

I think this smell is rather lackluster, it’s not what I thought it would be in the slightest either. For whatever reason I was thinking it would be something spicy and maybe woody, I think it was the name but I didn’t think this one was either of those things. I found the scent on this one to be rather light and not very notable at all, maybe it was my nose but I just wasn’t picking much up. I did get a hint of citrus and maybe a little floral, so this one ended up smelling more clean and fresh to me than what I had expected. Not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just odd to me.

As for the appearance of this one, I think it’s really cute actually. I did have mine shipped to me so the area around it’s eyes was covered in bronzey gold shimmer like the rest of the bath bomb. The eyes are a little bit odd to me but at the same time I think they are kind of cute.

Once you drop this in the water it’s a really quick fizzer and doesn’t give much of a show, though there is a little surprise with this one because it has popping candy in it. I’m fairly neutral about the addition of popping candy, it doesn’t bother me but I’m also not typically super excited about it either. Once this has fizzed away completely it leaves the water this light brown kind of shade that isn’t attractive and by far isn’t my favorite look for water.

Overall, this bath bomb really falls short for me, it’s not a favorite of mine at all and I’m kind of disappointed by that. I was really hoping to go out with a bang but unfortunately I have had terrible scheduling and have gone out with a meh, it’s not bad but it’s not great either.

Are you excited about the Halloween range from Lush this year?
