August 2019 Favorites + Face

Since it’s September that means it is time to talk about all of the products that I enjoyed during the month of August, like I do every month. I feel like I actually have a good mix of products and a lot of new things to talk about, which I think is always exciting. So let’s talk about all of the fun things I have been loving.

Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser – This reminds me of an old favorite of mine, Ultrabland from Lush, except this doesn’t leave the areas I used it on feeling greasy so I think this one is much better. I love this stuff, it doesn’t really have a scent, it feels great and it does a fantastic job at removing all of the makeup from my face.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Fromboos Glycolic Night Serum – This stuff is a new favorite skincare product of mine, this stuff does great things for my skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth, I am a big fan of this and am debating on purchasing the full size of it.

Colourpop Orange You Glad Palette – This has been such a delightful palette this month and I have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. This might be the best of the single colored palettes that I have tried so far, it just works so well together and I am pretty into the orange shades.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Ultra Fine Mist – This stuff smells amazing and that is enough of a reason to love this stuff, but I also find that this mist really helps hydrate my skin and does leave me looking a little dewy which I sometimes enjoy.

Colourpop Just a Tint in Gimme S’more & The Strand – These are my favorites, I love these tints way more than I ever thought I would. These two shades are my favorite most wearable shades and they are so easy to pair with pretty much any look that I have, plus these smell amazing.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Translucent Finishing Powder – This is probably the best pressed powder that I have ever tried, it’s just fantastic. This stuff is really finely milled, it looks great on the skin and doesn’t leave my super powdery. Instead, this leaves me looking pretty flawless.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Snow – I am almost out of this foundation and I have mixed feelings about that, I have been focusing on it because I am almost done with it so I do love it and am sad to see it go. But, at the same time I am excited to mix it up once again and try out some of the other foundations that are just sitting in my drawer.

Lush Easy Peeler Scrub – I don’t have a photo of this one because the one that I received in the mail kind of melted and got crushed so it looks busted, but I wanted to include this anyway. I am already in love with this scrub and hoping that they never take it away, from what I can tell in photos it is adorable and it smells even better, like fresh oranges. This is also a really nice fine scrub that leaves my skin feeling pretty moisturized, so all-around a fantastic product.

While I picked the Orange You Glad Palette as a month favorite I think this look I created using the Colourpop Blue Moon palette really takes the cake. I just love how this looks and love how it turned out, like a really fun and elevated take on blue eyeshadow. Super happy with this one.

I think that is it, these are all of my favorites from the last month, a good mix of things that I have been really loving and am hoping to continue to love while also mixing in some new products this upcoming month. We will just have to wait and see.

What are some of your favorites from this past month?
