Brand Overview: Drunk Elephant Skincare

I purchased a set of Drunk Elephant minis a little while back and I picked up a few additional items than what is in that set, so I have been sitting on this for a little while but I wanted to really try things out so I had a good feel for each product. This is my first brand overview and I am very excited to get into talking about all of the products that I have tried. The good, the bad and some just meh products. Let’s get into it.

I picked up this fun little set a while ago, this is The Littles set from Drunk Elephant, it retails for $90.00 and comes with a total of eight different mini-sized products.

I think this is a fantastic way to try out a bunch of products from this brand, especially since they are a more expensive brand. I personally have gotten a pretty good amount of use out of each product, some more than others of course. I did pick up three additional products to try out as well, so let’s not waste any more time and just get into talking about products.

Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser is up first because it is the first product that I fully finished along with the fact that it is one of the two products I have ever finished from this brand. I liked this a lot more this time around but if I am being honest, I don’t think it’s worth the price tag. This was fine but it wasn’t anything too exciting. It did leave my face feeling clean and it didn’t irritate my eyes, but it wasn’t fantastic either. Purchase the full size? No, I wouldn’t.

C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum is one that I gave up on rather early, I don’t think there was anything wrong with mine but there was something about the smell of this one that just made me sick to my stomach and after probably a half dozen uses I wasn’t noticing enough of a difference to justify it, because I just hated the way it smelled. Purchase the full size? Nope, I gotta pass on this one.

Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer is a nice moisturizer, I like the way that it feels on the skin. This one isn’t too greasy or too light, it sinks into the skin really nicely and overall does a great job moisturizing. I am just not sold on the price tag, while this is nice I don’t think it is anything above and beyond, which is a lot of my problem with Drunk Elephant skincare. Purchase the full size? Maybe, it just really depends on how I am feeling.

Umbra Tinte Physical Sunscreen this one has spf30 and if I am being honest, I am no expert on sunscreen at all. I have used this sunscreen under makeup and it hasn’t seemed to mess with the wear of my makeup, I do give it a few minutes to dry down a bit so it is less tacky. I notice a slight tint to this and it hasn’t caused any breakouts or sunburns that I am aware of. Purchase the full size? Probably not but maybe I would sometimes.

T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum is the product that I love far too much. This is a fantastic product, a little goes a long way in my opinion and it always leaves my skin looking great. I have been using this every night for a couple of weeks now and I notice a difference, softer skin and more glowy skin, I really love this product and think it is a fantastic one. I do find that it stings a tiny bit when I put it on but nothing that I am concerned about. Purchase the full size? I have to say that I think I would, I really like this one.

B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is another one that I actually like, I have been using this in the morning like it suggests and I like it. I skip moisturizer when I put this on and assume that is what I am supposed to do if it’s not I think it still works fine so I’m going to continue doing that. This one has a super lightweight formula and really sinks into the skin, leaving my skin feeling rather hydrated. Purchase the full size? I think I would.

C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream is one that I am on the fence about. I like this one but I also don’t notice any major differences like I do with a few other eye creams that I have used. I think this does a pretty good job at moisturizing the skin but it’s nothing out there or super hydrating. Purchase the full size? Maybe, probably not but maybe.

Virgin Marula Face Oil is the last item from this set, I still have a few other extras and one that this one kind of goes with that will be next, but as for the littles set this is the last item you would get in it. This stuff is nice, though I’m not sure it’s that much better than some other facial oils that I have tried. This one is super hydrating and feels very oily, as one might expect from an oil. It does sink into the skin and does leave the skin feeling super hydrated, it just takes a few minutes. Purchase the full size? Probably not but I wouldn’t be upset about getting another mini size.

T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is first up because it comes with the last product that I reviewed, or at least the mini size does. This is another product that I just love, there is no way around this one. I feel like I get so many uses out of the min size and while I think this stresses me out to use sometimes because I don’t want to get it in my eyes, I do like it. This stings the tiniest bit when applied and isn’t too irritating to me, but once you wash it off it leaves you with the softest skin and the smoothest skin, it’s really impressive and something that I now use once a week to keep my skin looking amazing. Purchase the full size? Yes, once I get through the mini I have probably.

Lippe Balm is the lip balm from this brand and I had heard a lot of good things about it from one of my favorite YouTubers. I do like this lip balm, I think it smells really light but still really nice, I also think this does a great job at hydrating my lips. All in all a good product. Purchase the full size? Yes.

Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser is our last item and another one that I actually really enjoy. I think this does a great job at breaking down all of the makeup on my skin and remove it with ease while also giving me an extra little boost of hydration, which I always like. Purchase the full size? I think so.

And those are my thoughts on a good chunk of Drunk Elephant products if you have made it this far I hope you enjoyed. This brand is rather expensive but they do have some items that really are worth the price tag I think, then there are one that isn’t particularly worth it. I liked this set and I think it was a great way to test out some higher-end skincare, so I have no regrets about that.

What do you think of Drunk Elephant skincare?
