Influenster VoxBox: Becca Skin Love Edition

Today I am doing something a little bit different and talking about a couple of products that I received through Influesnter for review, I was super excited to find out that I was in for this box because I am always excited to get to try out new products. This one is all about a couple of the new Becca Skin Love products, so let’s just dive right in and see what I thought of these.

*I did receive these products for free through Influenster but these opinions are my own.

Today is all about two products, the first being the Becca Skin Love Brighten & Blur Primer which retails for $39.00 and comes with 1oz of product, which means that this costs $39.00 per ounce of product.

The second product is the Becca Skin Love Glow Shield Prime & Set Mist which retails for $32.00 and comes with 2.3oz of product, which means that it is roughly $13.90 per ounce of product. Which sounds pretty good to me.

Let’s start out by talking about the packaging for a minute because as you may already know, I love to talk about the packaging. The boxes these products come in are very cute and very simple, which I quite like. Just a slight touch of blue to it and a tad bit of silver writing. The actually packaging itself is really nice as well, I’ll drop a photo down below so you can see it, the primer is a little bit boring but very clean looking with its own touch of blue. The spray is gorgeous though, with its pretty holographic spray bottle.

Let’s get into the formula of these starting with the primer. I love the applicator of this, it’s in a tube and it’s very easy to get out and control how much product you want, plus I imagine it’s super easy to get out all of the product at the end but I can’t vouch for that completely.

This is slightly thicker cream but it is very easy to spread across the skin, I think it also does a really great job at brightening the skin however I am not sure how much it really blurs the skin. Either way, I am happy with how this works as a base because it does make my skin look pretty glowy. I don’t find that this prolongs the wear of my makeup particularly well but it doesn’t hinder it either. The last thing I want to mention is the scent, I can’t pinpoint what exactly it smells like but it does smell very clean and fresh, which is something that I can get behind.

Now, let’s talk about the prime and set spray, these have a fantastic sprayer, so much so that this might be the first bottle I keep after finish a product because it’s just so light and well distributed. I haven’t used this as a primer but I have used it to set, I think this gives a really nice added glow to the skin and I also think that this really helps make your face look more like skin and less like powder, however, I am not sure that I would say this prolongs the wear of my makeup. The last thing is the scent, it doesn’t smell exactly like the primer but it does have a nice light fresh scent to it that I really enjoy.

So, overall I really like these products so far and I think they do a really good job at giving the skin a nice extra natural-looking glow. I also think it does a great job at setting powder products into the skin and making it look more natural on the face.

What is your favorite primer?
