I was so excited when I first saw this product because it was so cute that I knew I had to own it, and here I am, no self-control. I say that but this was actually a gift, so this one I did have some self-control on. This blush stamps a heart on the cheek and it’s too cute, of course, you have to blend it out but before you do it is really cute. So, let’s just dive in and chit chat about this one.
Up for review, I have the Kaja Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush in the shade Feisty, which is described as being a cool raspberry shade which I can get behind. This retails for $24.00 and is my very first cushion blush. I don’t know what it is but I’ve never really gotten that much into cushion products before, however, this one caught my eye because it is so cute, obviously, it’s a heart! I promise I won’t go on for too long about that.
Now, let’s talk packaging for a moment, I am not a huge fan of this packaging as I do think it is a bit clunky but at the same time I don’t really know how they would have made it more streamlined since it needs space for the cushion along with this heart applicator. This packaging isn’t that bulky and excessive, just a little bit. I do find it to be really quite sturdy and secure though. It does have a heart stamped out on top which is a nice little touch to tell you what is coming next.
This is what the product itself looks like, pretty much exactly what you would think it looks like. The cushion is very well saturated and when you press the heart into the cushion a good amount of product comes with it. It is really easy to place on and have enough product. So let’s just talk about the formula of this one for a moment.
My biggest issue with this blush is how it blends out, or more how it doesn’t blend out well at all. Maybe I haven’t played around with this enough yet but I have used my fingers and a sponge to try and blend this out and while both do a decent job at it I feel like the product dries down too quickly to really blend out properly and it drives me crazy because it just doesn’t look as nice on the skin as some other products do. I am going to continue trying this out before completely riding it off.
I did like everything else about this blush though, it felt really lightweight and the color that did blend out looks fairly naturally flushed which I appreciate. I also love that this lasted so long, it wore throughout the day with very little loss of color. So, as a whole, I do like this but it feels a bit gimmicky to me.
I think this product is fun and is interesting but I don’t love the application process, as you guys are probably aware since I talked about that more than anything else. This is a really cute one though.
