Review: Lush Wild Butterfly Bath Bomb

I have a little bit of a weakness for Lush and have had this one for a while, so when they put up spring stuff I made a little order, and by little I mean ordered far too much and will be posting some reviews of my favorite things, starting with this really beautiful bath bomb, the wild butterfly. I am super excited about the range as it is a large one, though I must admit I’m not typically the biggest fan of floral so some of the things were misses for me, but I just won’t be talking about those. Anyway, fly away with this fun little bath bomb.

Today is all about this beautiful bath bomb, this is the Wild Butterfly bath bomb and will run you $5.25, which I think is pretty reasonable for a Lush bath bomb of this size. This bath bomb feature ingredients such as petitgrain oil, sweet wild orange oil and olive leaf absolute just to name a few of the ingredients in this one.

Let’s chat about the appearance of this one a little bit because this is hands down one of the prettiest bath bombs I have ever seen Lush make. I love the butterfly shape and the marbled colors, all three of the butterflies are stunning but today is all about this one. I love the colors, they are so bright and bold, it reminds me of summer which I am okay with because as I have said, I am dreaming about summer all of the time now.

This bath bomb is also stunning when it hits the water, it fizzles out into a beautiful swirl of orange, yellow and white, I think it’s really quite pretty to look at and once it’s all fizzled out it leaves the water a really pretty peachy orange color, that you will be able to see in the photo below. As a whole, it’s a really pretty bath bomb.

Now, let’s talk about the scent and the experience of this one. This felt super moisturizing on the skin, more than usual and I like that, it really nice and relaxing.

As for the scent, I couldn’t really pin down an exact scent, it has a citrusy kind of scent to it that is very bright and fresh, but it also has a tiny bit of earthiness to it and an in general fruit kind of scent. I like it as I think it was uplifting and bright, but I know that’s not always for everyone.

I really enjoyed this bath bomb, I thought it really pretty both in and out of the water, it left my skin feeling super hydrated and soft, and it smelled really good. All of the boxes were checked for me and I may need to make another order before these fly away.

What are you most excited about from the spring range?

  1. That looks awesome! It reminds me of an orange creamsicle, which is perfect for summer. Citrusy scents are instant wins for me, so I’ll definitely remember to get this one when I also get my favorite, the Golden Egg. Thanks for the rec!
