I am mixing it up a little bit today and trying something new, which means I am sharing my very first eye makeup tutorial/pictorial with actual proper steps. I am excited about this even though I’m not the best at makeup ever, but I am just excited to try out new ideas and write new posts out, so let’s just jump into what I am sure is going to be a very picture heavy post.
We are going to start with step number one, of course, which for me means primer and I personally use the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer. I also wanted a sharp liner on my shadow so I am using one of the new e.l.f. Line & Define strips which I love because they are way more gentle on the skin than actual scotch tape.
Step number two I used Love from the Anastasia Norvina palette in the crease, I applied it a little bit messily as I wanted to make sure to get a little bit of a wider range on the eyelid. Simple enough I think.
Next up I used the shade Volatile to deepen the color in the crease and this time I kept it a little tighter and more focused as I didn’t want it to look too messy.
This is where I messed up a little bit because I meant to take photos of each step and did miss out on a couple of steps, but I am doing to try my best to explain what happened here. I used Wild Child all over the lid and is stunning, I then went in with Passion on the outer V so it would darken up the look a little bit and pull it together a bit more. Lastly I used Dreamer as an inner corner highlight.
Next up is eyeliner, I went for the tiniest little baby wing and I’m really happy with how it looks. I used the NYX Matte Liquid Liner in Black to do this and honestly, that is a fantastic eyeliner and is super black, so I would for sure recommend it.
Next I added some shadow underneath the eyes, I used Volatile, Love and Passion to do this as I really like matching the top eyeshadow when I do this. Next I followed up with a coat of mascara, I am currently using a Maybelline one I believe, I really can’t remember which one it is exactly.
And now for the final step, something that I don’t always do and is totally optional but I added a set of fairly natural looking lashes. I am trying to get more into false eyelashes and think I am doing better with them as I like the way these look.
And that is my tutorial, nothing too exciting or out there for my first one, but something fun and a reason for me to play with a new palette, not that I really need a reason to do that. I am looking forward to doing more in the future though I am not sure when I am going to do my next one. Let me know what you want to see and if you want to see me do more tutorials in the future.
