Face Mask Friday: Watermelon Edition

For face mask Friday this month I thought I would do something a little bit different and do two faces masks with one theme, the theme being watermelon. I thought this would be fun to do because I can talk about two different types of masks while also having a reason to use two different masks, so instead of doing these more I have decided to just shove more into it from time to time. Anyway, let’s dive in and chat about these two face masks.

This month is about two different face mask both of which are watermelon themed. The first is the A’Pieu Watermelon Slice Mask and the second one is the Milk Makeup Watermelon Brightening Face Mask. These two are very different but they do have one thing in common and that is the theme, watermelon, which I have talked about too much already so let’s just dive right on into chatting about these two.

Let’s start with the A’Pieu Watermelon Slice mask, which I expected to be just a regular sheet mask and it turns out that it is one of those slice kind of sheet masks, so it’s a bunch of small pieces. I’ll post a photo of it on my face down below you guys can see what I mean.

This was really easy to apply but my biggest problem with the slices is I feel like I might have missed spots on my face, but then again I did just rub it into and all over my skin after removing the patches like I do with all sheet masks so I am not actually sure how much I actually missed. This smells amazing, just like fresh watermelon and it had me drooling and ready for summer to be here, but alas we are still dealing with winter. This mask left my skin feeling great and really soft, so I am happy with the results of using this one.

Next up is the Milk Makeup Watermelon Brightening Face Mask, and can we talk about how much I love this packaging. Not only do I love the look of it because I love the color and how simple it is, but I also adore the stick form as it makes application so easy and mess free which is a huge plus in my book. I think all masks that can be done like this should be done like this because it is fantastic.

Anyway, let me talk about the product a little bit instead of just rambling on about the packaging for too long. I know that this is watermelon because it has watermelon in it, but I expected it to smell like watermelon and instead, it has this slightly strange light scent, it doesn’t really bother me but I am not super sure of how to describe this one. But, I am okay with this because I feel like after using this it left my skin looking less red and brighter, it gave me a bit of a glow and it really left my skin feeling super soft which I always like. So, I am also really happy with this mask.

And these are both masks on my face, as you can the slice one is really strange but it does work, and it’s kind of fun to just put weird random patches all over the face. That’s probably just a me thing though. And I love how pink the other one is, plus it’s pretty much mess free as you guys know and I love that. I am very happy with both of these masks and would use them both again, in fact, I am sure I will use this Milk one a bunch more before it’s finished.
