Revisit: Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

I am not sure if I have reviewed this one on the blog before or not, but I know I have talked about it and even included it in my favorites from the year of 2016, so I thought that it would be fun to try this out again and see if I am still as fond of it as I once was. I was so obsessed with this product for a period of time there and then I started buying more makeup and it got pushed to the back of the drawer. So now, let’s just jump on in and see how this one goes.

This is the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in the shade Snow. This can be purchased from Ulta or the Too Faced website directly. This retails for $39.00 and comes with 1oz of product, which makes it $39.00 per ounce of product. I don’t think that’s too terribly priced for a higher end foundation.

Now, let’s talk about the packaging of this product. This product feels rather nice in terms of the bottle itself, it’s made of frosted glass and just feels rather nice. The pump works well and is easy to control and the cap does feel a little bit on the cheap side but nothing too terrible. I am not a big fan of the look of it, mostly because I think this one looks rather boring and kind of a little bit strange, I’m not completely sure what it is that bothers me but I will say that I don’t love the look of the packaging.

Now, I know that what’s on the outside doesn’t matter and it’s what’s on the inside that really counts, so that is why I want to talk about the formula and application of this now.

This foundation claims to be medium to full coverage and I think that it is, this goes on a little lighter but can easily be built up to full coverage. I love a product that give you a lot of control over how pigmented or built up you want to look, so that is really nice.

I think the shade Snow is a fantastic match for me, which is great. I find this foundation to be really natural looking, it still looks a little bit like there is makeup on my skin but I have never met a product that doesn’t kind of look like makeup on the skin. This foundation feels really thick when it comes out of the bottle but I do find that is is really easy to blend out and spread across the face. This has pretty good staying power, I don’t think it’s the best out there but I do find that I have very little wear after a day of work so that is always nice. This foundation does have a pretty decent shade range, it comes in 35 different shades so it should be fairly easy to find a good match. I am happy with this foundation overall.

I still love this foundation, I wasn’t sure how I would feel going back to this but honestly, this is still one of my favorite foundations and I really need to use this one more often and probably finish this one up.  If you are looking for a new foundation, I would completely recommend giving this one a try because I really do think it is fantastic.

What is your favorite foundation?
