I know I say this about most posts but I really enjoy writing this one, I think at this point it is safe to say that I just really enjoy blogging, even though sometimes it’s stressful and I fall behind on my schedule, but as a whole I love it. Anyway, today is face mask Friday which means I will be reviewing another face mask this month, so let’s just get on into this one.
This is the e.l.f. Marsh-Mellow Soothing Mask, I have a mini size that came in a set but you can get the full size here for $10.00, which isn’t bad for a face mask I don’t think. You can also get this in a set with a bunch of other mini-sized e.l.f. face masks.
As per usual let me start out by talking about the packaging, I can only really vouch for the small size of this so that is what I will be talking about. This is a pretty standard tube, nothing exciting about it really but nothing bad either. This is really easy to squeeze out the product and is just very much affective. The design of it is also really simple, which I personally do not mind and quite like the look of.
Now, let’s talk a little bit about the face mask itself, the thing that I am sure you guys really want to know about. This is a white face mask that kind of looks like you are smearing marshmallow fluff all over your face. So, it’s not the most interesting looking face mask but it’s also a face mask so, who really cares about that?
This mask claims to be a soothing clay mask that calms the skin, this features ingredients such as kaolin clay, shea butter, and coconut water so, to me, it sounds like it would be a really hydrating and soothing face mask. I don’t think this mask is hydrating at all, I have used it a couple of times and it didn’t leave my skin feeling particularly hydrated, however, I do think this mask calmed my skin down some. I don’t get particularly red but just a tinge of pink from time to time and this calmed that down, which was nice. So, I do think that this does what it claims to do but that is about it.
So, overall this is not my favorite face mask and I don’t think I would personally purchase the full size of this one, but it’s not a bad face mask. I just don’t love it.
What is your favorite face mask?
