January 2019 Favorites + Face

january 2019 favorites (1)

It is that fun time of the month where everyone starts talking about all of their favorite products and honestly, I love this time of the month, I am so nosy and love seeing all of the things that people have been loving from the previous month. I have a pretty decent amount to share but I am not sure if it’s anything exciting, either way I am here to share so let’s get into all of the pretty things that I have been loving.

L’Oreal Tinted Lip Oil in Sugar Plum – I can’t find anywhere to link these other than where I got them, which was on the UK Amazon site so I decided not to link these as I thought it might be strange. But, I still wanted to include it as I actually really like this, I think it’s super moisturizing and it smells great. I know that L’oreal isn’t technically cruelty-free, but I already owned this so I am going to use it.

Half Caked Suga Suga Lip Scrub in Cotton Candy – $12.00 – I have been way too into cotton candy as of recently and this lip scrub has fallen into that super love that I have for it, it’s just really tasty, smells great and does a fantastic job and getting rid of dead skin on my lips.

Ariana Grande Moonlight Perfume – $60 – While I do only have a mini, I love the way that this smells and have been using this like crazy, I picked up a mini set and this one has been the one that has really stood out to me which is unsurprising seeing as this is the one that I kept going back to and did want to get the full size of.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation – $12.00 – I don’t think this is full coverage but that’s what I like about it, it looks really nice and kind of natural on the skin while also providing some coverage though I would say this is closer to medium coverage.

Truly Organic Acne Patches – $10.00 – These are the cutest little patches and I think they work wonders, they do exactly what they claim to do, they shrink the size of a pimple overnight and the pull out all the gunk. It’s really impressive and also disgusting, I kind of love that.

Mac Strobe Cream – $34.00 – This is a product that I love by itself but I especially love combined with my next favorite. This gives a really moisturized feeling to the skin and gives it a really lovely glow, while also not being too over the top and I really like that about this one.

The Porefessional – $32.00 – This is another one that I really love by itself but love even more when I used it with the strobe cream, it really does wonders for smoothing out the appearance of my skin, it just makes it look really perfected.

Ulta Juicy Jelly Peach Lip Gloss – $8.00 – I think this is like the watermelon one that I got in a set a while ago and was in love with, it feels almost exactly the same at least and I am really into that. This gloss is moisturizing, leaves my lips super glossy and smells amazing so it checks all of the boxes for me. Now, if only they would make it in all of the scents!

e.l.f. Line and Define Eye Tape – $2.00 – I seriously love this stuff, it is a lot more gentle on my face than scotch tape and it sticks better, it’s just an all-around better product than just using tape that I am sure is not meant to go near the eye. I will for sure stock up on these at some point.

Lime Crime Plushies in Cherry Soda – $20.00 – I am not a huge red girl myself but with this being so sheer it makes red really wearable and I love that about it, I’m always looking for new lip colors and this feels a little bit out of my comfort zone without being too far. Also, as most people know at this point, this is one of my favorite formulas that I have ever tried.

Rose Quartz Roller – $28.00 – I do not think this is the exact same one as I have but it is close enough. I really love this and am not sure if it’s going anything, but it feels really nice and cooling on the skin so I have been using it a bunch since I got this.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black – $22.00 – This is a product that I feel like I fall in and out of, I mostly just forget that I own this and then remember that I do and fall back in love with this. I mostly love this because it is so black, though I do think that the tip is a little bit stiff.

I do not know what it is about this makeup look but this was my favorite from the month, it might have something to do with the fact that I wore makeup about ten times this month or it might just be that this is really cute, even though my faux freckles look stupid. Either way, I quite like it and a small spoiler, but you will be seeing this look again in the next couple of weeks.

And those are all of my favorite beauty related things from this month, I will be back tomorrow to talk about the rest of my favorites from the month, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

What are some of your favorite beauty products from January?

  1. I’ve never seen that L’oreal lip oil and I NEED IT NOW. I’ll have to snoop around the web and see what I can find. I’ve also really wanted to try those acne patches because the packaging is so cute! They are definitely overpriced but THE PACKAGING ❤

    1. I ended up paying way too much for those lip oils but I really like them and I love love the way they look. These acne patches are cute enough that I don’t mind, plus they work really well for a quick fix.

      1. I sent you an e-mail about them, for some reason I thought you lived in the UK. I see them on Amazon UK were you able to get them delivered to you? L’oreal actually makes pretty awesome overseas products. I’ve paid (more than I should) from a few Asia releases. But so worth it!

      2. I was just about to respond to your email, haha. I did order them from the UK Amazon, I ordered them from there and no issues getting them, other than waiting a little bit for them to get there. I know for sure that the Bargainperfumeshop shipped to me in the u.s. And I feel you, I have paid too much for some things overseas. Usually worth it though. 🙂

  2. I’ve tried so many different ways to get the Makeup Revolution foundation to work for me, but unfortunately I think my skin is just too dry. 😩 Oh well, I’m glad you’re liking it and that it works for you! I really want to try one of those rose quartz roller things…I may have to pick one up!
