Why January 2019 Was Awesome + Goals

january 2019 wrap up (1)

January might be my least liked month out of the whole year and that feels like something that a lot of people can relate with, there’s not much to look forward to, it’s cold and it dark, it’s just a real downer of a month if you ask me. While typically it feels like this month drags on forever, this month went by at what seems to be fairly normal pacing, which is a real oddity to me who is used to it being the tenth and feeling like the month should be almost over. Anyway, now that I have rambled on for far too long about how much I am not a fan of January, let’s chit chat a little and talk about how this month went.

January was just a really weird month to me, it felt so slow at the beginning and then it picked up, so it had this weird evened out feeling towards the end. The cold weather and dark days have been particularly hard on me this year, which I know I touched on a little bit last month but I am still experiencing that. I have always been an anxious little person but these past couple months have been tough, so much so that I have actually gone to the doctor so that is a thing that I am finally kind of dealing with.

My dad also came to visit this month, which was a little bit surprising seeing as I never actually expected him to visit all by himself but he did and we had a good time, mostly just hanging out and not doing a whole lot of anything. It was still fun though and it made it so I could take a few days off, which is always nice.

We also hung out with a couple of friends at the beginning of the year, which was nice, it was like a slightly strange second new year in the daytime but overall it was fun and nice. Other than these things, January has overall been pretty boring and unexciting, as per usual but that’s not always a bad thing.

Now to wrap up all of my goals from last month and see how they went, starting with finishing reading Outlander which did not happen, I barely touched it but I will finish this book. I also talked about sticking to my budget which I failed at, so far I am not doing so great at my low buy but February will be different! And lastly, I wanted to gain 15 followers on Twitter, which I did not keep track of so I have zero idea how that went. Now, let’s dive into my goals for this month.

Finish Reading Outlander is something that I am going to do this month, I know I can do it! No Buy is another thing that I want to do, I did terribly during the month of January and I want to be able to bounce back from that this month. I want to gain 24 blog followers, how am I going to do this? Honestly I have no idea, but I am going to try and make it happen. I am seeing great stats for me but not so much in terms of a following.

How was your January?
