This is the last day of 2018 and this is my last post for 2018, as one might expect. Today is all about 2018, I want to take some to wrap up the large things that happened and see how I have done with sticking to the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year, so let’s throw it back and reminisce a little bit.
If I am being completely honest, 2018 was not a particularly big year for me, it was an enjoyable year and I did do some fun things, but not a whole lot stands out as a huge year like the last two have been for me. This year was a lot of settling in, if that makes any sense outside of my head.
The beginning of this year drug on and on for far too long and was really cold, so it’s fairly safe to say that I kind of blocked it out and hated it a little bit. It eventually started to get better and in May I went on a cross-country road trip with my husband. This is probably the thing this year, this is the noteworthy thing and boy was it fun. I am sure I have a bunch of posts surrounding this topic and mentioned it far too many times when it was going on, but I had a lot of fun so I had to mention this.
For the most part, the rest of my year was pretty boring and unexciting, which is fine and I’m not really complaining but I just don’t really feel like there is much more to talk about in terms of wrapping up my year. This year has been pretty laid back and I enjoyed it. Some things have been hard but I’ll talk about that in my monthly wrap up.
Now, let’s talk about how the goals that I set for the beginning of the year for myself, starting with getting into shape which is something I didn’t really do. I went at working out a little more regularly this year but I didn’t really get there, so this has been a failed goal.
I did cook a lot more this year, maybe not as much as I wanted or more, not as many different things as I would have liked but I did cook a ton more this year and I am really happy about it. I don’t really remember a lot of my blog goals because I did not write them down, so I have no idea how those went. And as for driving, I’m not there yet, I’ll get there eventually probably but I may never be a driver. I don’t know.
The last thing that I said I wanted to focus on was my makeup spending habits which I am pretty sure I did way worse on than I thought that I would. So that is disappointing.
So, overall I did not do particularly well with my goals for the year, which is kind of disappointing but it’s too late to worry about it now, I’ve just gotta go into the new year and try to better myself. Also, I am sure that I will be repeating some of my goals for 2018 in 2019, probably, we’ll see. And overall, 2018 was a good year but I do not think this has been my best year either, as kind of terrible as that is to say. But, it’s been a pretty good year and I am content.
Are you guys ready for 2019?
