Good morning! Today is Friday and more importantly, it is First Impression Friday, a day where I pick a product and give you my first impression of it, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s terrible, sometimes I change my mind about things too but today is just about the first impression. Let’s just dive into this first impression.
My first impression product for the month is the Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint in the shade Pretty Kiss, it’ll run you $9.99 and comes with 0.185oz of product, which comes to about $54.00 per ounce, which is a little up there for a drugstore product. I know lip products tend to go a little father than some other products but that still sounds pretty pricey for what it is.
Let’s talk packaging for a minute, the packaging is rather simple, the outside is the same color as the packaging, it’s rather slim and streamlined, it’s nothing exciting but I still like it. This product also has a sponge applicator, which I would guess is why cushion is in the name. This really reminds me of the Lancome shaker series with the applicator itself. Also, to get the product out you twist with this one, which I kind of prefer over the shaker thing the Lancome ones have going on.
Now, let’s talk formula and the product itself. This is a really sheer formula, as one might assume when they hear the word tint, which I really like because a lot of the time I am looking for something that I can kind of just slap on the lips and go. This is for sure one of those kinds of products. This is really moisturizing on the lips, very sheer and looks pretty natural which is always a plus to me. The only thing that I might complain about a little bit is more of a packaging problem and that is the cushion isn’t the most precise applicator one will ever use, it’s not bad though. I do really like this color and I like the formula, I like how it feels on my lips and like I said before, I like the tint of color on the lips. This doesn’t have any odor in particular that I can pick up on, so if it’s there it is not strong and the lasting power on this is pretty average for this type of product, nothing really out there.
I do like this lip product and think that it’s rather nice, it’s been a while since I’ve tried out a Revlon lip product and based on this one, I think they still make really great lip products that I would be happy to purchase in other shades.
