First Impression Friday: Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting Powder

First Impression Friday_ Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting Powder

Last month I talked all about an NYX primer and this month I will be talking about setting, the finishing touches. I will be talking about the Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting powder, a product that I did not intend to buy yet but I purchased before I got it for a really good sale so I couldn’t pass it up. Which means today I will be doing a first impression of this powder.

This one is all about the Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting Powder in the shade translucent. This one comes in a few different shades and I picked mine up on the website directly. This will run you $24.00 regular price and sometimes you can catch it on sale, this is also $48.00 an ounce, which isn’t too terrible if you ask me. Now, let’s kick this first impression of by talking a little bit about the packaging.

Beauty Bakerie is always so on point with their packaging, it’s very well branded and always super cute, this was no exception. The little bag that it came in was really cute, I am super favorable of the packaging. Now as for the container itself, I actually really like it, it’s pretty cute but also really simple, the packaging itself feels really sturdy and quite nice. I also really like the sifter, it turns easily and dispenses product really well. It feels like a really nice jar.

Now, let’s get into the actual product itself. I think this powder is actually really nice, it’s a very light cream kind of shade as most translucent powders are. This is a really nicely milled product, it’s very soft and a little bit goes a long way. So far this has done a really great job of setting my foundation and giving me a more matte appearance to the skin, I also don’t find that I look particularly powdery or cakey which is always a plus. I didn’t notice much of a smell with this product either, another subtle plus because I know a lot of people are sensitive to odors and perfumes.

So, overall for this first impression Friday I actually really like the product, I think it’s a very nice powder that does a great job at setting and comes in a rather nice packaging

  1. I love everything about this brand! With my normal skincare and makeup routine, the powder is sadly a wee bit drying for me (you know I have alligator skin). I have started to play around with some different facial oils to see if that helps…I hope it does, because it really is a nice powder!

    1. I have only tried the lip whips and powder thus far but I love both, I also love the entire look of this brand because it is so cute. I think this is probably one of the best setting powders I’ve used thus far.
