It’s that Friday of the month again, Face Mask Friday, what an exciting day too. I really love doing these, they are super fun and give me a reason to treat my skin. Last month was all about the Skinfood and so is this month, this month I will be talking the Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask, so let’s dive in.
Up for review this month is the Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask, I personally picked mine up at Ulta and it cost me $10.50 for 4.4oz of product, which I don’t think is too bad. I do find that these tend to go on sale a lot, so keep an eye out and you might be able to pick up for even less.
The packaging is next up, I’m not really for or against the packaging. It’s pretty simple and it’s not really bulky, I just don’t love the aesthetic of it, though the packaging is nice since it doesn’t have a lot of excess packaging.
I usually talk about the scent of these face masks a little bit, but I don’t really have a lot to say about this one. I didn’t really pick up much of a smell and if it’s there it is very faint and non-descript.
Now, let’s dive into the actual formula of this. I guess I will start out by saying that this stuff is very much thick and kind of mud mask like but a little bit thicker. The other thing about this is that a little actually goes a pretty long way with this stuff, I feel like I didn’t use a whole but got really good coverage on my face, as you will see in the photo below.
I think I need to get a closer mirror so when I apply masks I can see better, because without my glasses I’m kind of just smearing it around. Still, I think it covered the face well.
This mask claims to regulate excessive sebum, eliminate pore-clogging impurities, tighten and minimize the appearance of pores and eradicate skin bacteria. I’m not quite sure how to tell if it’s really eradicating skin bacteria, but as for everything else I think this mask pretty much lives up to what it claims to do. I think this does a really good job at cleaning out the pores and minimizing the appearance of them, I have only used it two or three times thus far but I have noticed differences after the fact, it always makes my skin feel nice.
So, overall, I really like this mask and am enjoying using it. It really tightens my pores and makes my skin feel really nice, so I like this one.
