30 Day Lipstick Challenge

April 2018 30 Day Lipstick Challenge

Today I am doing something a little bit different, I saw this challenge over on guesswhatbeauty and decided that I also needed to do this. I can easily do this a couple more times but I decided to share my findings with you guys this time around. I think this is a fantastic challenge for anyone with a bunch of lipstick that are decluttering, though I will admit, I didn’t end up getting rid of as many as I wanted to. But anyway, let’s jump on in and check out a quick bit I thought about a lot of lipsticks.

April 1 – Etude House Dear My Matte Tinting Lipstick in BR401 – This was too bright and too coral for me so this one had to go.

April 2 – Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Creamsicle – I bought this recently, was unsure of it but actually in love with the color of it.

April 3 – Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss in Rapture – This is a stunning shade and an okay formula, it’s not my favorite but it’s not terrible either. Will for sure be keeping this one around.

April 4 –  CoverGirl Katy Kat Gloss in Cateloupe – I was not into this gloss, I hated the color and I hated to formula so this was the first one to go.

April 5 – Bite Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace – I wasn’t sure about this color but I actually ended up really liking it, so this is a new found love of mine.

April 6 – Mac Lipglass in Lots of Laughs – I actually really like this lipgloss a lot and would recommend it, it’s very pretty and a very springy color

April 7 – Nars Lipstick in Barbara – I’m a little bit on the fence about this one as well but not enough to just write it off. So this one is going to go around again.

April 8 – The Estee Edit Lipstick in Bare Beige – This might be the ultimate my lips but better shade because this pretty much looks identical to my lips and I kind of like that, is that weird?

April 9 – Essence Water Kiss in Aquatic Chic – I wasn’t sure how this color was going to go but because of the formula of this it went fantastically, this is a really great product and I could see myself picking up another.

April 10 – Lime Crime Lipstick in Choker – I’m a little bit undecided with this one as well, just because it’s a bit darker than I’d like but it still gets to hang around.

April 11 – CoverGirl Oh Sugar in Caramel – This color is more like a lip balm but I kind of like that about it.

April 12 – Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Queen B – I always think this shade is going to be too dark but when I put on the lips it turns out to be pretty damn perfect, I’m abig fan of this one.

April 13 – Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Wild Orchid – This one is barely noticeable but I am on the fence about it because it does give a slight purple tint, we’ll see if this one stays around.

April 14 – Milani Keep It Full in Soft Rose – This is a really pretty gloss that I quite like, it’s super glossy and really easy to wear without looking like too much.

April 15 – Mac Lipstick in Nude Du Jour – This looks really dark in the tube but is actually a reall fantastic nude shade if you ask me, super happy with this one and might have even found a new favorite.

April 16 – Tarte Lippie Lingerie in Delight – This is a really pretty peach nude shade that I really enjoyed.

April 17 –  Sephora #Lipstories in Love Love – I can’t decide if this is a little bit too gray for me or not so it’s going to stick around for a little longer.

April 18 – Models Own Semi Matte Lipstick in Basic – I hated the color and formula of this one, so much so that I put it on in the morning and immediatly removed it. I am a tiny bit curious if the other colors are better though.

April 19 – Burts Bees Lipstick in Blush Basin – This is every bit as good as everyone says it is, it’s super easy to wear, really comfortable and glossy, I just really like this lipstick.

April 20 – Lime Crime Velvetine in Cashmere – Everyone around me hates it when I wear this shade but I kind of love it so I will be keeping it around.

April 21 – Mac Dahhlinggg – This is such a traditional concealer type of nude shade but I can’t lie, I’m kind of into it.

April 22 – Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Bound – I keep thinking that I don’t really like this shade but the truth is that I really do, that’s probably why I still keep it.

April 23 – Sephora #Lipstories in Tan Lines – This shade is really quite pretty and I actually really like it.

April 24 – NYX Luv Out Loud in lol – I am on the fence with this one, once again I can’t decide if it’s too dark but I think the formula of these is fantastic so it’s going to stay around for a little while longer.

April 25 – Mac Lipstick in The Pinkprint – I don’t know if I love this color or not, I want to try and wear it a little bit more before really writing it off.

April 26 – Sephora #Lipstories in Off Limits – I had to have this but I hate this color, it just isn’t for me so this one is getting passed along.

April 27 – Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Pepper – This is a little bit different than the typical shade I wear but this is a great one that I really love.

April 28 – e.l.f. Shield Lipstick in Rose Shield – I totally bought this for the packaging but I actually really like the color and formula, so really quite happy about that.

April 29 – Colourpop Lippie Stix in Aquarius – I hated the gloss but I love it in this format, this shade might also be a bit of a new favorite.

April 30 – Kat Von D Lovecraft – This is the old formula but I still like this lipstick and think the color is pretty, happy to have picked this one up.

I did not end up getting rid of nearly as many as I thought I might, not that I thought I was going to give them all away or anything but I was thinking somewhere between 5-7 whereas I think I officially got rid of only 3, maybe 4 at the most, which isn’t bad either. I think this was a fun challenge that kept me wanting to mix it all up and I also think this is a great way to weed through your makeup if you have a bunch, this would easily work with all types of makeup. I see myself doing this again with lipstick and probably other products as well. All in all, I think this was fun and I’m glad I challenged myself.

Would you guys want to see more blog posts like this if I did it again or with other products?
