March 2018 Favorites + Face

March 2018

April is here, I really hate April Fools Day, anyone else here hate it too? I just don’t like being messed with or people trying to play pranks on me. I’m just so glad that it falls on Sunday this year which means I don’t have to worry about co-workers messing with me this year. Anyway, the month of March is over which means that it is time to start doing monthly posts and to kick this month off I am doing my monthly favorites and face, last month was pretty boring but I think this month was a little more interesting.

Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Princess Cut – I have finally really full gotten a chance to try this out and I really like it, it’s not everything that I’ve ever dreamt of and it’s not as good as I thought it would be but I still very much like it and think the color is very pretty.

Milk Makeup Eye Pigment in Mermaid – This stuff is pigmented and so pretty! This also comes with a ton of product when you think about it. I will say this, while I love this I do think that this is a little bit difficult to work with.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer – This has returned and after having a full months use of this I can say this with confidence, I love this concealer and it is a fantastic choice.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara – This might just be an all-time favorite of mine but I keep putting it in monthly favorites because I just really love it and I keep forgetting that I’ve already put it in the previous month’s favorites, I’ll try to be better. But yeah, this mascara is the bomb and I really love it.

Dose Of Colors Blush in Statemint – I love the packaging of this blush, which is a big reason why I purchased this blush but I also really like this blush. This is a lovely springy shade, it’s really pigmented though so I have to remember to use a light touch with this one.

Revlon Kiss Balm in Coconut – I like the way this smells and I really like the way this feels on the lips, this is going to make for the perfect lip balm in the summertime due to being moisturizing, smelling of coconuts and it has spf.

Now it is the point in time in my post where I talk about some things that have been less than great for me, something that I am trying to consistently remember to do each month if I have come across things that I don’t like.

Eco Tools Sponge – I don’t like these, I have tried a few different beauty sponges at this point in time and these just weren’t fantastic and everything that I dreamt of them being. I do very much like the edge on these sponges, I found those to be super helpful but I don’t like how they blend and how they feel, they are just too firm for my taste.

Laura Geller Baked-N-Balance Baked Foundation – I think any kind of powder foundation that is supposed to have a glow to it ends up making my face look orangey, I’ve tried two or three like this and they always do it, it is terrible. So, that’s why this one is on this list.

Jordana Best Lash Mascara – I just don’t like this, I don’t think it does a great job at really making my lashes look great, the mascara is dark but it doesn’t really lengthen, thicken or do much of anything.

Lime Crime Velevtine in Buffy – I love the formula of these but I do not love this shade, the Lime Crime Velevtines are long wearing and just really comfortable liquid lipsticks to wear, but this one shade is just not for me.

Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Wet ‘N Wild Single Eyeshadow in Brulee, NYX Air Palette; the matte blue and slightly shimmery dark blue-purple shades, Huda Beauty Electric Obsessions Palette in the dark blue shade, Lime Crime Diamond Crusher in Pixie, Dose Of Cikirs Eyedeal Crayon on Hint Of Mint, Wet ‘N Wild Megaliner in A Case Of Blue, Coloupop Creme Gel Liner in Cry-Baby, Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. Face: Benefit Porefessional Primer, Tarte Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation in Porcelain, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C1, Anastasia Foundation Stick in Fawn, Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff, Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Princess Cut, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, Mac Fix + Coconut. Lips: Glossier Balm Dot Com in Rose.

And those are my favorites for the month and my face, I tried to do something a little more fun with my makeup for the wrap-up but now I’m thinking about switching it up in the future. Meaning I’m thinking about just sharing a photo or two of my favorite look each month instead of creating one that sums up my favorites. We’ll see.

What are some of your favorites?
