It is already time for another first impressions post, I have decided to share my first impression of the Wet ‘N Wild Matte Face Primer this week, I just did the dewy one so it seemed like a good idea to try out the matte one and give my first impression on this one as well, so let’s just jump right on in.
This product can be picked up basically anywhere, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc. This tube will cost you $4.99 for 0.84 oz of product, which is a fantastic price for a face primer.
I have only used this product once so far, so this is still a true first impression, even though I have included this in my monthly shop my stash.
Anyway, the first thing that I really want to over is packaging, which is pretty typical for me to start with. Like the dewy one, I do like the packaging, I don’t think it’s anything super exciting but I do like how simple and clean-lined it is. I also like that it’s in a squeezy tube so it makes it pretty easy to use. Also, like the dewy one the tube has a very large opening, which personally doesn’t bother me one bit but I can see how that could be annoying, so just as a heads up the opening does squeeze out a fair amount of product if you aren’t careful.
Now to get into the good stuff and the reason why you are here, the product itself. I do not like the matte one as much as the dewy one, in fact I don’t really like this one at all from my first impression of it.
I didn’t really notice any difference when this was applied, my face didn’t really feel or look matte and once I applied my foundation it really didn’t do much of anything either. Overall, this just kind of formed a layer on my skin like all primers do and felt pretty good on the skin, but it really didn’t seem to do much else.
So, in the end, I don’t like this so far, I am going to try it out some more and see if my opinion changes but thus far this one is not a hit for me. I did expect this one to be great though, just based on the dewy one but that was my own mistake.
Have you tried this primer? What did you think?
