January 2018 Shop My Stash

January 2017Shop My Stash

Alrighty, it is time for my first shop my stash post of the year, which I am super excited about. I have way too much makeup so I really love doing these posts as I get to sit down, dig through my hoard and pick out things that I really want to focus on and enjoy using for the month. It’s just a really fun and calming process, plus I think it’s a fun thing to read about. Anyway, let’s just jump right on into shopping my stash this month.

We will start this post out the way that I have been starting it out for the past couple times, by talking about a few of my standout products from the previous month. The first one that I want to talk about is the NYX Faux Whites Eyeliner in Linen, this is a fantastic product that I really loved using, it’s a great waterline eyeliner that isn’t too starkly white nor is it too pink, it’s a really fantastic shade in between and I have been loving that. Another eyeliner is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, I finally got a chance to try this and honestly, I can see what all the hype is about, it a fantastic eyeliner that is very black and lasts really well. The last standout that I want to mention is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, I just have a tiny sample of this but it’s enough for me to say that I really love this setting powder.

Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Grapefruit – This is just a mini-sized blush but it’s still a blush that I am excited to use and play around with, this is a blush that I already know I really enjoy and am really excited to pull it out and use it some more.

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight – This is just a mini and it’s been floating around in my stash for a little while now, but I still haven’t really tried it out that much, so I’m hoping this is the month that I give it a whirl and see what I think.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair – I have gotten to a point where I have two concealers, well three now as I just got one, so I don’t really have a lot of rotation in these until I purchase or try different ones. Right now, I am really quite content with my selection.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory – This is my foundation choice for the month, a cult classic and something that I know I really love wearing.

Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin – Throwing it back to a long time favorite that I don’t use quite enough, this one is a fantastic product and I love everything sin pretty much, it is a great shade in all of its forms.

Bobbi Brown Duo in Sand Pink and Pale Pink – I couldn’t find anywhere you link you guys to this one, but it’s still going in the stash post for the month, I haven’t tried it out a whole lot so it’s time to find out what I think about this little blush duo.

W7 Wake Up & Glow Bronzing Base – This is supposed to be a dupe for the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Base, which I have never used as it is something that is too expensive for something that I’m not sure I’m going to like, even though I have never heard a bad thing about it. So, I go for a dupe and haven’t touched this, which means it is time to try it out.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water – I’ve been waiting for a while to test this out and I finally got my hands on a sample size in a set that I recently purchased, so I knew that this was something that I just had to try out.

Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter in Moonlight – This looks stunning and looks like it is going to blend out flawlessly, super excited to take this for a test run this month.

e.l.f. Illuminating Palette – This is something that I’ve had for a while, go back and forth on way too much, so I’ve decided to really focus on this and get a good feel for it.

Too Faced Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Primer – This is a tiny little sample that is pretty much just here because it’s small, I started it and now I’m hoping to finish this little sample up.

Etherealle Stardust Highlighting Powder in Cosmos – This is a new Etsy brand to me and I really want to test this brand out and try it, this looks really pretty and like it’s going to be an interesting highlighter, so hopefully it does as well as I expect it to.

Colourpop Creme Gel Eyeliner in Best O – This one is returning because I want to try this out more and like everything else, I want to really form a good opinion on this one, so back into the monthly stash it goes.

Etherealle Pixie Gems in Morning Glory – Another product from that same Etsy shop, I have one more in this months stash post as well, I’ve decided to test out all three things that I picked up from this brand this month. I’m very excited about testing this one out, it looks really gorgeous.

Mac Dazzle Shadow in Get Physical – I’m pretty sure this is the only mac eyeshadow that I own and I’ve barely touched it, but that’s going to change this month as I am sitting it aside to try out. I think this is a perfect fit with the shades that I have chosen for the month and will just go very well with it.

The Balm In The Balm Of Your Hand Vol.2 – This is pretty new to me and you will be seeing a little bit more about the palette later this month, but for now just know that it is my palette of the month and I am super jazzed about playing around with this more/

Stila Shimmer & Glow Eyeshadow in Freedom – The second I got my hands I knew that I needed to play with this, but I have not gotten around to playing with this yet and I don’t know why, so I am for sure going to test this one out during the month of January, which seems like a really perfect time for this particular shade.

Essence The False Lash Mascara – I used up my last mascara so that means it’s time to play with a new one, even though I also have the old favorite in a full size still out, but I have way too many mascaras and figured it was time to test out a new one.

NYX Faux Whites Eyeliner in Linen – This has quickly become a favorite for me and at this point, this might as well just live in my makeup drawer because I just enjoy it that much.

Milani Brow Tint Pen in Natural Taupe – I am jazzed about this, there is a little part of me that wants to mess around with fake freckles and thinks this will be a fantastic product for just that, I am also curious what this will look like on the brows.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner in Distortion – This shade seems perfect for a frosty January, it’s really sparkly and iridescent, it has a bluey kind of hue to it as well, I really love glitter and these glitter liners.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner – I do have a black liner that I always keep in my makeup drawer so if I need it I have it within reach, but I’ve decided to throw this one in there because I tried it out and really liked it, so I wanted to use it more.

e.l.f. Aqua Lip Stain in Dewy Berry – This is brand new to me and something that I have been eyeing for a while, this usually isn’t a shade that I like but it’s really sheer and comfortable on the lips, plus I really wanted to try out something that would last a while.

Etude House Dear Darling Tint – I’m not sure what the shade name of this is but I do know that this is a really fun and pretty product, it’s not super purple but it does leave a little bit of a purple hue and is just really pretty. Plus it smells really good and I love the color with the handle especially.

Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Nude Nuance – This is also new to me, always picking up new lippies, this girl right here. I have heard a bunch about how good this lipstick is and how it’s a super for Mac’s Whirl and instead of purchasing whirl, I just picked this one up.

Etherealle Mineral Lipstick in Fawn – The last product from this brand and the thing that I was most excited about until I tried it, so far it has not been everything that I wanted it to be but I still want to give it a fair chance so into my stash this month it goes.

And that is everything that I am including in my monthly stash spot in my everyday face drawer, a really great mix of brands, both high end, low and even some indies in there. Also a fantastic mix of products I think, this month is going to be a great one, at least for makeup it is.

What are some makeup products you just have to use this month?
