Yesterday we were ending the year, wrapping up a fantastic 2017 and talking all about it, but as it’s the start of a new year I have decided to talk about some goals I have for this year, so let’s just jump right on in.
I think the most important goal of the new year is that I want to have a happy 2018, I know a person can’t always be happy but I still overall want to have a happy year.
I know this one is about to sound so cliche, but I really want to get back on track with getting into shape, I fell off really hard in December like I feel a lot of people do, all the activities, food and just the weather really contributed to my set back. I really want to get focused again this year but instead of weight goals, I’m going to try and just get healthy and feel better, focus on that rather than how much I weigh.
I really want to start cooking more at home consistently, we do alright, some weeks are better than others but as a whole I feel like we eat out too much so I’d really like to eat at home more. And bring my lunch to work. We’ll see how that goes.
I really want to reach some blog goals, I’m not setting my goals too high I think, but I do want to set some goals because what’s the harm? Plus, it’s always good to set goals for yourself. All of my blog goals are essentially the same thing, I just want to do better with my stats this year than I did last year, I want to grow and get more views. I also want to hit a certain number of followers this year, I won’t say exactly what number though.
Along with blog growth comes social media growth, I’m not great at anything to do with social media but I do think I grew a lot in 2016 compared to the previous year, however, I am really hoping to grow more and really get the hang of it.
I want to drive, I keep putting these on my monthly goals but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything so maybe if I put it on my yearly goals I’ll do better? Probably not.
The last thing I’m going to put here is I want to really do better with my makeup spending, I feel like I spent so much on makeup in 2017 and I want to spend less this year. I am going to try and give myself a budget, so I can spend x in each month and whatever is left over will roll over to the next month, mostly so I don’t feel like I need to waste the budget I give to myself. We’ll see how this goes.
And those are all of my goals for the year, fairly simple goals and nothing really that surprising I’m sure, but they are my goals for the year. When I wrap up this year at the end of the year I may even come back and see if I stuck to them and how I did, we’ll see if I remember to because that is a long time away.
What goals have you set for yourself this year?
