Winter Skincare 2017

Winter is approaching rather rapidly, officially winter starts on Thursday which is only four days away, so it’s coming up quickly. Because of that, I decided I’d get a little tiny jump start on this and talk about it today instead of on Thursday. Today is all about winter skincare, which really means I’m going to talk a little bit about the products that I am mostly using this winter time, so let’s get right on into it.

Ahava Dead Sea Osmoter x6 Facial Serum – $75.00 – This is the first thing I have been using and loving, it’s just a tiny sample but it’s been going for a little while now and I love that about it. This is something that I am sure I am not using right because it is a serum and I have been mixing it in with my moisturizer as an extra boost of moisturizer and I love it like that. I know I don’t really need something for anti again but it never hurts to start younger, right?

Glycolic Acid Toning Solution – $8.70 – This is a seriously huge size bottle for so cheap, which I assume is the appeal of it. I usually use the Pixi Glow Tonic but I wanted to try this out and see if I liked it as much and if so I would just get this instead as it’s something that is much larger and cheaper. I like this fine but once I use this up I will be going back to the Pixi one. This does really help make my skin soft and glowy though.

Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser – $24.00 – This is just my all time favorite cleanser, I use it all year round because it’s very gentle but really deep cleans and gets all the gunk off of my face, so it’s really just great for all year.

Too Cool For School Egg Mellow Cream – $36.00 – This is the sample that I am currently working on, moisturizer is a must during the winter, I particularly like a very heavy and moisture-rich moisturizer. I think this one smells a little bit like an old lady and is a little bit sticky for longer than I might like, but it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and oh so soft, this is something I will have to think about purchasing the full size of.

Lush Just To Clarify Jelly Face Mask – $13.95 – These are a little bit on the expensive side for such a small sized face mask, but this one is so good that I don’t mind, actually both of the jelly masks that I’ve tried are really fantastic and I am very happy with. This face mask is both moisturizing and gently exfoliating, it is really perfect for this time of the year, really makes my skin glow and it smells like orange cake, it’s all around delightful.

Lush Maypole Body Lotion – $??? – This is something from the Lush kitchen that I actually purchased from eBay, so I can’t tell you how much it costs and where to get it but I can say that I really wish they had this all the time. This smells amazing, like sweet, fresh peppermint and the formula of this is really great, it’s thin, doesn’t feel greasy but is very moisturizing and I love that about it.

Glossier Balm Dotcom – $12.00 – This is my new favorite thing ever, this can be used pretty much anywhere but this is amazing for the lips, it is thick but I don’t think it feels heavy or greasy really, but still very moisturizing. This one also smells amazing and the packaging is fantastic.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment  – $24.00 – This is something else that is perfect during the winter season, I get really terribly chapped lips personally, which I am sure I have mentioned no less than six million times, but it’s true. This along with the Glossier Balm Dotcom are some of my favorites.

Lush Ocean Salt – $21.95 – This one is expensive and I hate buying it but I love it so much, so every now and again I pick this up. This is great for the winter time because sometimes you just need a really good scrub, I use this all over my body and really enjoy it, plus it smells amazing.

And those are all of the items that I’ve picked out and used as my winter skincare selection, a good mix of products, all of which are amazing. Most of these products are very moisturizing and scrubby products that are great for glowy winter skin.
