Declutter: Face

Declutter-Face

It’s time for a short little series here on the blog this week, I’ve gone back and forth and debated on whether or not I wanted to do this, but I’ve decided to make a post about it. I have decluttered more since doing this but the things that I’ve decluttered in this post are still decluttered. The other thing is I think I’m going to do is solely talk about the products that I am getting rid of and why, so let’s jump into part one of this declutter, the face products.

The only face powder that is leaving my collection is the Honest Beauty Invisible Blurring Powder, I just hated this stuff, I really tried to use this one up but every time I would use it, it just left me angry and not wanting to use it. So, after trying it out five times I’m passing this one along, it’s just a sample size that smells weird and wasn’t as great as some other powders that I own.

Now, for primers and this is another area where only one item is leaving my possession and that is the First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer, which is a damn mouthful if you ask me. I don’t know what it was about this primer but it just wasn’t doing it for me so this one had to go as well and has been passed along.

Now, it is time for concealers where I have a few leaving us and honestly have had a lot more leave since this post, but I’m only going to talk about the things in this post. The first concealer that is leaving is the Wet ‘N Wild Photo Focus Concealer, everyone loves this line and while I don’t think this is a bad concealer, it’s just not a great concealer either and I’ve found some concealers that make me very happy, so I don’t need this one in my collection. Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer, this one had to go if only for the smell, even though this was applied to my eye area the smell was enough to keep me from using this. It didn’t irritate my eyes but it bothered my nose, so if you are sensitive to smells steer clear of this one, it’s really a pungent floral scent. NYX HD Concealer is the last one that is leaving me, this one just didn’t do it for me, it barely covers anything and I don’t need that hanging around in my collection.

Foundation time, the first one up is the Lottie London All About That Bass, this is a foundation stick and I really wanted to try one, so that’s what I did and I hated this one, it broke up on my face really bad and just didn’t give me enough coverage as a whole. Clinique Beyond Perfecting is just a little sample size but it’s completely the wrong shade so there was no point in me holding on to this one. Wet ‘N Wild Photofocus Foundation smells like straight up paint, that’s part of the reason why I am sending this one on it’s way, the other reason is that I just don’t like the coverage of this one very much. The last thing in this part of the declutter is The Ordinary Coverage Foundation, everyone seems to be all about this and interested in this but this just wasn’t for me due to shade match, I purchased the lightest shade and it didn’t work, so this one is out of the collection as well.

And that’s everything I decluttered during this series, it feels good to go through things and get rid of them, because as much as I love makeup sometimes it’s nice to just get rid of it. I’m still kind of in the mood to go through it but I am quick nearing a point of just not wanting to let go of anything. Anyway, I’m proud of where I am with this declutter and feel great.

How do you feel about declutters?
