Review: Colourpop She Palette

Colourpop She PaletteReview

It’s time for a review and for something new series wise, I think this is a sign that I am purchasing way too much makeup since I have so many new things to review, either that or I’m finally starting to catch up with the mass amount of things that I have to write about. Either way, every Sunday there will be a new eyeshadow palette review, this one isn’t as themed as the past two months have been but still a series nonetheless, at least I think so. I’m starting out with the Colourpop She Palette, so let’s jump into this review.

PSX_20170826_180013I just want to start talking about the obvious thing here and that is the packaging. I adore the packaging, I think this is some of the prettiest packagings I have ever seen, so good job  Colourpop on the design of this product, it’s so pretty.

PSX_20170826_181451The inside of this palette is also stunning, not only the design on it but also the colors of eyeshadow, this is just a really attractive palette that flows really well together. This is a mostly warm-toned eyeshadow palette, but not in the way that all palettes seem to be right now.

PSX_20170826_181623I know this isn’t the order that I usually go in but it’s the order we are going in today, we’re going to look at some swatches of these eyeshadows. From top to bottom is left to right, top row to bottom row, which I think makes sense. These don’t have names so I can’t really point out the best ones particularly.

Anyway, let’s just jump into talking about the formula of these, because I think that is the most important part about this. These have a bit of a strange texture, it’s like a cross between a normal pressed shadow and a colourpop super shock eyeshadow, which isn’t a bad thing but it is a bit strange.

The shimmer shades in this palette are really nice, I think they are very shimmery and very pigmented. The matte shades, however, are not as good, I find these to be a lot more patchy and a harder to work with. Neither is particularly hard to work with on the eye, the matte shadows show up a little more pigmented on the eye, but not much, it’s still nothing really impressive.

This is the look that I came up with using this palette, I like it, it’s not my all-time favorite look in the world but it is a nice look still. It just seems a little bit sheer is all but still a nice look.

Overall, I don’t love this palette, in fact, if I’m being honest I’ve already decluttered this palette. It’s not bad, it’s just nothing special to me and it seems like something that I don’t need. This just didn’t fit in my collection I think. I probably wouldn’t recommend this palette either, like I said it just seems sheer and not impressive really. I would pass on this one.
